I am NOW EXCITED about THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD!!!

Yes, REALLY!!!   I am getting excited about this scripture!!!



So, I hope that you no longer feel helpless or overwhelmed when you read this scripture!!!!  



Quite frankly, I feel relieved to realize that GOD DOES NOT EXPECT ME TO FIGHT BY MYSELF!!!   I love knowing that HE WILL HELP ME TO PUT ON HIS ARMOR-THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD!!!”




I LOVE KNOWING THAT HE IS ALWAYS RIGHT THERE WITH ME!!!  




GOD IS STANDING THERE WITH US HELPING US to fight against the enemy!!! 




YES!!!  I SAID THAT GOD IS RIGHT THERE WITH YOU!!!



WE HAVE TO KNOW THAT WHEN GOD IS STANDING WITH US AND FIGHTING AGAINST THE DEVIL, THEN THE VICTORY IS SURELY OURS!!!




Next, let’s look at verses 11.  Let’s see what God says about this verse!!! 


Ephesians 6:11-13 (NKJV)


¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

¹³ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.



Ephesians 6:11-13 (CJB)


¹¹ Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary.

¹² For we are not struggling against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities and cosmic powers governing this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm.

¹³ So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing.




First, I want you to know that I looked up the word, “wiles,” and here is what I found!!! 


Wiles are strategies or tricks intended to deceive or ensnare, entice or lure; a disarming or seductive manner, device, or procedure.



So, when we look at verse 11, and we use those words, let’s see what it says!!!


Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV) Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.



So, now verse 11 says something like this!!!


Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against “the strategies or tricks that the enemy intended to deceive or ensnare, entice or lure us into defeat!!!  Watch because the devil comes in a disarming or seductive manner, with tricks and deception.”


 The CJB describes the wiles of the devil as “the deceptive tactics of the Adversary.”



However, we find that WE HAVE NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE DEVIL’S TACTICS as long as we use the weapons and the armor that God gives us!!! 



God makes it plain that HE HAS GIVEN US THE WEAPONS THAT WE NEED TO FIGHT AGAINST THE ENEMY!!!  If we will use HIS WEAPONS, then WE WILL BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST THE ENEMY, OUR ADVERSARY!!!



Now, let’s do one last thing!!!  Let’s look at what the scripture says about the nature of the devil-the enemy of our soul!!!



We know that the devil is a liar, a thief, a destroyer, and a deceiver!!!

 

John 8:44 (NCV) You belong to your father the devil, and you want to do what he wants. He was a murderer from the beginning and was against the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he shows what he is really like, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.



Revelation 12:9 (NKJV) So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

 

Let me ask you one last question!!!!



If we know and understand that the devil is a liar, a thief, a destroyer, and a deceiver, then why in the world would we ever listen to anything he has to say!!!




I say to you that WE WOULDN’T!!! 

That is why THE ENEMY LIES AND PRETENDS THAT HE IS GOD!!!




That is why he has to deceive us and TRICK US into believing that HE IS GOD!!!  



This is the very reason that we are to make sure that everything we hear lines up with the WORD OF GOD, BEFORE WE DO IT!!!   If it doesn’t line up then don’t do it!!!  And tell the devil to, SHUT UP!!!!





IT HAS TO LINE UP!!!

THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD??? NOT THAT AGAIN!!!

Do you ever just want to groan when someone says, “YOU NEED TO PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD!!!”



Do you ever think, “Well, if I understood what that meant, then maybe I could do it!!!”  And maybe you are like me.  Maybe when someone would say that to you, you didn’t dare say, “I don’t know how to do that!!!  I just don’t understand it!!!”



You know, I had this happen to me the other day.  A friend of mine said, “You have to put on the whole armor of God.” 



I remember that I just wanted to groan when she said that, and say, “NOT THAT AGAIN!!!!”  And I remember thinking, “Oh no!!!  NOT The Whole Armor of God!!!”



And I know that God heard me!!!  He knew that I really had no idea how I was supposed to put on the whole armor of God!!!!



It isn’t that I don’t want to understand it!!!!  Or that I don’t want to do it, but for some reason, I can’t remember ever hearing anyone break down this scripture and teach it to me!!! 



So, I cried out to GOD and I knew that HE WOULD HELP ME!!! 

After spending time with God, He began to show me things about this scripture!!!  And I know that HE WILL CONTINUE TO TEACH ME WHAT I NEED TO KNOW!!!! 


John 14:26 (NCV) But the Helper will teach you everything and will cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name.

I will share with you what I understand and I WILL make it plain and simple with God’s help!!!



So, let’s take a look at THAT SCRIPTURE!!!  And let’s see if we can break it down, little by little!!!!


Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV)


¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

¹³ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

¹⁴ Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

¹⁵ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

¹⁶ above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

¹⁸ praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

I bet you understand part of this scripture, even though you may NOT think so!!!  Everyone has knowledge and understanding, it is just a matter of how you apply it!!!



Ephesians 6:10-18 (CJB)

¹¹ Use all the armor and weaponry that God provides, so that you will be able to stand against the deceptive tactics of the Adversary.

¹³ So take up every piece of war equipment God provides; so that when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist; and when the battle is won, you will still be standing.

¹⁴ Therefore, stand! Have the belt of truth buckled around your waist, put on righteousness for a breastplate,

¹⁵ and wear on your feet the readiness that comes from the Good News of shalom.

¹⁶ Always carry the shield of trust, with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the Evil One.

¹⁷ And take the helmet of deliverance; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God;

¹⁸ as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people.

Let’s start at verse 10 and see what it says!!!



Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.




First God tells us that we need to be strong, but that we do NOT have to be strong by ourselves.  We don’t have to do it on our own!!!  We are to be strong in HIM!!!  HE WILL BE THERE AND HE WILL HELP US!!! 



Ephesians 6:10 (CJB) Finally, grow powerful in union with the Lord, in union with his mighty strength!

God IS NOT telling us to fight the devil in our own strength!!!  He is NOT like King Saul, who gave David his armor and sent him out to fight that giant by himself!!!!



NO, GOD IS AND WILL BE RIGHT THERE WITH US THE WHOLE TIME!!! 


God’s promises us that HE WILL NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE US!!!


Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV) Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

GOD is telling us that we are to use and have HIS STRENGTH!!!  God lets us know that HE WILL ARM US!!!!  And HE will be right there with us to fight against the enemy!!! 



WE HAVE TO KNOW THAT WHEN GOD IS FIGHTING AGAINST THE DEVIL WITH US, THE VICTORY IS SURELY OURS!!!



I read the back of the book (GOD’S WORD) and you know what???  WE WIN!!!  Did you hear that???  Let me say it again!!!  WE WIN!!!



GOD WANTS US TO BE VICTORIOUS!!!! He wants us to rule and reign with HIM!!!!  That is our destiny!!! 



GOD WANTS US TO HAVE VICTORY HERE ON THIS EARTH!!!  HE WANTS US TO BE ABLE TO STAND AGAINST THE ENEMY!!!



GOD WANTS US TO HAVE GREAT LIVES!!! 


John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The Power of Agreeing Together

Have you ever been attacked by the devil???



Well, I have been!!!  And I am sure that most folks have!!!



When the enemy attacks me, I always figure that I must be doing something right!!!  Because when it seems as if “ALL HELL HAS BROKEN LOOSE,” you know there I a good reason!!! And you know, that the devil sure seems mad!!!  So, YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE DONE SOME THING RIGHT!!!



If you have never had anything come against you and you have never been attacked by the devil, then you better check yourself!!!



Cause something is wrong, if the devil has never, ever attacked you!!!!




Anyway, the other day, I called a friend of mine to get her to agree with me in prayer because I was being attacked by the devil!!! 


Matthew 18:19-20 (AMP)

¹⁹ Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.

²⁰ For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I Am in the midst of them.

 

And so, The Holy Spirit took over as God had her pray for me!!! 



THERE IS SO MUCH POWER IN GOD’S WORD!!!  That is why it is so important for ALL OF US to know and understand it!!! 



There are so many important scriptures we can stand on as children of Our Father God and followers of Christ Jesus!!!  But you have to know The WORD to stand on it!!!    



So, when my friend prayed THE WORD and I agreed with her, there was so much POWER IN HER PRAYER that the devil tucked tail and ran!!!  We stood together in FAITH ON GOD’S WORD!!!  And we watched God move that mountain!!!!
 

Mark 11:22-24 (NKJV)

²² So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.

²³ For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

²⁴ Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

You see, I know when my friend and I pray God’s WORD, THE THINGS WE PRAY ARE GOING TO HAPPEN!!!  There is so much power in agreement and in praying THE WORD!!! 


Matthew 18:19-20 (NCV)


¹⁹ "Also, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

²⁰ This is true because if two or three people come together in my name, I am there with them."

 


When we stood on THE WORD, God flooded my soul and my being with that PEACE THAT PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING!!!  So, I got everything together and went to bed!!!  And I slept ALL night long in such PEACE!!!  It was wonderful!!!


Philippians 4:6-7 (NCV)

⁶ Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.

⁷ And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

There are so many precious promises in HIS WORD!!!  Why don’t you take time to find out what some of them are???



2 Peter 1:1-4 (NCV)

¹ From Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ.

To you who have received a faith as valuable as ours, because our God and Savior Jesus Christ does what is right.

² Grace and peace be given to you more and more, because you truly know God and Jesus our Lord.

³ Jesus has the power of God, by which he has given us everything we need to live and to serve God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus called us by his glory and goodness.

⁴ Through these he gave us the very great and precious promises. With these gifts you can share in God's nature, and the world will not ruin you with its evil desires.

THE HOLY SPIRIT TELLS US THINGS TO COME!!!

Why does it surprise us that the Holy Spirit knows what will happen in the future???


John 16:13 (AMP) But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].

 

We accept that God knows what has happened in our past!!!  And we know that HE sees what we are doing right now!!! 



Why is it so hard to believe that OUR FATHER, GOD who created the universe, knows everything else, even the future???



Maybe it is because, the BIBLE says that THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL TELL US THINGS TO COME!!!   It doesn’t say that GOD WILL TELL US THINGS TO COME!!!  But then again, doesn’t it???



WE MUST REMEMBER THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GOD!!!  And GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING!!!  So, that means that GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT, KNOWS EVERYTHING!!!  And that includes the future!!! 




You know, I never really spent a lot of time thinking about it before, but we can see in our everyday lives that God knows what is going to happen to us!!!  

I have had God tell me to go ahead and pay the Electric bill that (according to the statement) wasn’t even due yet, ONLY to find a few days later that they had issued a disconnect notice!!!  And according to the disconnect notice, the electricity was going to be disconnected before the due date shown on the bill!!!



Isn’t God amazing???  Isn’t HE WONDERFUL!!! 



Maybe it was a mistake or an error, but ONLY GOD KNOWS!!!  I have yet to call and ask what was going on!!! 



ONLY GOD CAN FORSEE SOME THING LIKE THAT!!! 



ONLY GOD CAN INTERVENE FOR US!!!  AND ONLY GOD WILL!!!



How many times have you “just decided for some odd reason to take a different route” or “go a different way” and then later found out that there was an accident on the road that you usually travel at the time that you are usually on it??? 



And what about when God put that SLOW-MOVING VEHICLE right in front of you!!!  You, muttered and grumbled, and until you saw the Highway Patrol up ahead!!!  Did you even THANK GOD for keeping you from getting a ticket??? 



GOD knew that if HE DIDN’T INTERVENE, you were going to go flying down that highway and run right up on that policeman, and get a ticket!!!  So, in HIS MERCY, HE had that little old lady (or slow poke) decide to get out early and get right in front of you!!!



And by the way, how many times has HE TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEEDED TO LEAVE FOR WORK EARLIER???  OR DRIVE A LITTLE SLOWER???




LET’S BE TRUTHFUL!!! 


As God’s children, most of us really don’t listen when GOD is trying to talk to us!!!  We say, WE ARE HIS SHEEP!!!  But most of us, even though we claim to be saved, don’t read HIS WORD, every day!!!  And yes, I said, EVERY DAY!!! 


John 10:27 (CEB) My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me.

If we do as Jesus says, and we follow HIM, then we will spend time with HIM in HIS WORD!!! 



We are supposed to use HIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL; HIS WORD to help us get through the everyday situations and problems in our lives!!!  



And we should be seeking HIS HELP, and NOT leaving GOD on the sidelines!!!



So, with that in mind, do you know what other job belongs to the HOLY SPIRIT besides teaching us and showing us things to come???

John 14:26 (CEV) But the Holy Spirit will come and help you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you.



Jesus told HIS FOLLOWERS that the Holy Spirit would help them remember the things that HE had spoken to them; the things HE had taught them!!!


John 14:26 (CEB) The Companion, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I told you.

So, when we take time to read THE WORD, we can expect help from The Holy Spirit in remembering and understanding it!!!  Because HE will bring ALL things to our remembrance!!!



John 14:26 (NKJV) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Since one of His jobs is to teach us all things, we can count on HIS HELP when we are studying!!!



And because God knows everything, HE CAN AND WILL WHISPER THE ANSWERS IN OUR EARS, even before we know the questions!!!



John 16:13 (KJV) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

How Do I Fight the Enemy???

You’ve probably heard folks say, “Resist the devil and he will flee from you!!!”



James 4:7(NKJV) Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

 

But what does RESIST mean??? 


Resist means, “DON’T GIVE IN!!!”  We resist TEMPTATION!!!  And by resisting temptation, we are refusing to sin!!!  We should also resist the devil!!!  And by doing so, “WE REFUSE TO GIVE IN TO THE DEVIL!!!!”



The New Century Version says, “STAND AGAINST THE DEVIL AND HE WILL RUN FROM YOU!!!!”



James 4:7 (NCV) So give yourselves completely to God. Stand against the devil, and the devil will run from you.

You see, you can roll over and play dead, and some enemies will leave you alone, but NOT THE DEVIL!!!  He is the enemy of our souls, and he won’t give up until we are dead, UNLESS WE WHOOP HIM!!!! 



And then he only goes over in the corner until he figures out another way to attack us!!!!  That is why we have to STAND, AND CONTINUE TO STAND UNTIL GOD COMES BACK!!!

If we are going to STAND AND KEEP STANDING STRONG AGAINST THE ENEMY, we have to have a plan!!!



We have to figure out how to give the devil a beating every time he comes against us!!!  So, how do we do that??? 



We get with God and find out what HIS WORD says!!!  Cause GOD is the ONLY ONE that knows how to defeat the devil!!!  And HE tells us in HIS WORD!!!

 

John 16:13-15 (NKJV)

¹³ However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

¹⁴ He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

¹⁵ All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.

Whoa!!!!  Wait a minute!!! 



That verse says that the SPIRIT knows what is going to happen to me!!!  Are you saying that The Holy Spirit knows the future??? 

John 16:13 (CEV)  ¹³ The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn’t speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen.



Nope!!!  I am NOT saying that!!! 



The WORD of GOD is saying that!!!  And Not ONLY does THE WORD say that HE knows the future, but THE WORD also says that HE WILL REVEAL IT TO US!!!

So, why would I want to know the future??? 


Well, for one thing I already know that the enemy is going to attack me at some time!!!  So, if I know the future, then I know how and when the enemy is going to make his attack, and I know what to do to fight him!!!


God’s WORD tells us that the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy!!!  And we know that he will use whatever he can to come against us and attack us as children of GOD!!!

John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

If we will listen to THE SPIRIT OF GOD, HE will show us what THE ENEMY IS PLANNING!!!  HE WILL REVEAL THE TRUTH TO US!!!

THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL LEAD US IN OUR FIGHT!!!  HE WILL ALWAYS TELL US TO FIGHT THE DEVIL USING WORD OF GOD!!!


2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

 

³ For although we do live in the world, we do not wage war in a worldly way;

⁴ because the weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they have God’s power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments

⁵ and every arrogance that raises itself up against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it obey the Messiah.



Do you know that the King James Version says, that our weapons are mighty in GOD???


2 Corinthians 10: 4 (KJV) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

We have to fight the enemy of our souls and we have to use the weapons that God has given us!!!

THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH!!!!

David wrote these words as “a praise” to THE MOST HIGH GOD!!! 


Psalm 18:1-3 (NKJV)

18 I will love You, O Lord, my strength.

² The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

³ I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.

God had anointed David as King over Israel long before the end of Saul’s reign!!!!  David had served and waited upon The Lord for many years!!!



David was a mighty man of God and he chose with great wisdom to WAIT UPON THE LORD!!!  The Lord had delivered him many times through out all the years!!!  And NOW HE WAS THE ANOINTED KING OF ISRAEL, CHOSEN TO REIGN BY GOD!!!!



Even as King, David continued to love and serve THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!!!  David served HIM all of his days!!!



And even as King, David continued to write and sing praises to the GOD he loved!!!


Psalm 144 (NKJV)


144 Blessed be the Lord my Rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—

² My lovingkindness and my fortress,
My high tower and my deliverer,
My shield and the One in whom I take refuge,
Who subdues my people under me.

³ Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him?
Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?

⁴ Man is like a breath;
His days are like a passing shadow.

⁵ Bow down Your heavens, O Lord, and come down;
Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

⁶ Flash forth lightning and scatter them;
Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them.

⁷ Stretch out Your hand from above;
Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters,
From the hand of foreigners,

⁸ Whose mouth speaks lying words,

Happy are the people whose God is the Lord!

David depended on God and God NEVER let him down!!!  David honored God and put his trust in The LORD, and because he did, The Lord God of Heaven honored him and made him a mighty man of honor and distinction.  HE chose David to be His King over Israel!!!


Acts 13:22 (NKJV) And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’

If ONLY we would choose to trust in God and depend on HIM as David did, just think what God would do for us!!!! 


So, today, I tell you, that I, too, choose to trust God and depend on HIM!!!  I choose to trust in and rely on HIM!!!


Psalm 18:1-3 (NKJV)

18 I will love You, O Lord, my strength.

You see, I watched God save me from my enemies because I trusted in HIM and depended on HIM!!!



I watched GOD change the mind of a lady who was dead set on firing me!!!  I sat and listened while she explained in front of me to HR, why she had changed her mind!!! 



And I thank God and praise HIM, because I know that HE is the ONE WHO DESERVES THE GLORY!!!  I KNOW THAT HE CHANGED HER MIND!!! 


And so, because MY GOD has NEVER let me down and because HE HAS NEVER FAILED me, I choose to WAIT on HIM and I choose to trust in HIM!!!  



NOT for what HE can do for me, BUT BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS!!!



I choose to “Wait Upon The Lord,” knowing that HE WILL RENEW my strength and HE WILL BRING MY DELIVERANCE!!!  HE IS MY STRONG TOWER; MY HELP IN TIME OF NEED!!! 



Isaiah 40:28-31 (NKJV)

²⁸ Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.

²⁹ He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.

³⁰ Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,

³¹ But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.



If God is on our side, then who can stand against us????


Romans 8:31 (NKJV) …If God is for us, who can be against us?

I will “WAIT UPON THE LORD!!!”  HE IS LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS!!!  HE IS MY “ALL-IN-ALL!!!”

Psalm 27 (NKJV)

27 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

²  When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.

³  Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

⁴  One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.

He shall hide me in His pavilion;

“Waiting Upon The Lord IN FAITH!!!”

I am continuing in my study of “Waiting Upon The Lord!!!” 



In yesterday’s post, I started with Psalms 27:13-14. 

 
Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)

¹⁴ Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!



Here is Psalms 27:13-14 in The Amplified Bible!!!


Psalm 27:13-14 (AMP)

¹³ [What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!

¹⁴ Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.



In this verse, David makes it plain that he was expecting to see THE LORD’S GOODNESS in the land of the living!!! 


And we can see quite plainly that he is talking about waiting upon and seeing God and HIS GOODNESS here on this earth!!!


There are a whole lot of folks that think that we have to wait until we get to Heaven to have God’s blessings, and experience HIS GOODNESS and HIS RICHES here on earth!!!! 


And so I want to make it plain that I have no intention of waiting ‘til I get to Heaven to experience GOD’S GOODNESS, HIS BLESSINGS, and yes, HIS RICHES!!! 



God NEVER once said that HE expected us to live in poverty and NOT be blessed here on this earth!!! 



So, to ALL you folks who want to talk down about the preachers who preach prosperity, “Go on,” I say!!!  Go on! Live poor and in poverty, but when you get to heaven, you better be ready to explain to God why you disregarded HIS WORD!!!



John 10:10 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.



John 10:10 (AMP) …I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

As I read Psalms 27, I saw this verse and I thought that this is something we should ALL seek from THE LORD!!!


Psalm 27:11 (NKJV) Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.



I want to learn to walk in God’s Way, and I need HIM to make my path SMOOTH, so that I won't trip.  Even if I didn’t have enemies, I would need THE LORD to make my path SMOOTH!!!

I have the faith to believe and know that God hears my prayers-my supplications!!!  

Psalm 28:6 (NKJV)

⁶ Blessed be the Lord,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!


HE IS MY STRENGTH and HE IS MY SHIELD!!!  He protects me from the fiery darts of the devil!!!  He is my refuge and my hiding place!!! 


Psalm 28:7 (NKJV)

⁷ The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.



HE IS THE STRENGTH OF HIS PEOPLE!!!  HE IS THEIR REFUGE!!!  HE sent HIS SON-HIS COMMISSIONED ONE-THE MESSIAH TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE!!!


Psalm 28:8-9 (NKJV)

⁸ The Lord is their strength,
And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.

⁹ Save Your people,
And bless Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
And bear them up forever.



In verse 9 when it speaks of YOUR INHERITANCE, it means THE LORD’S INHERITANCE!!! We are His Inheritance because HE has made us Joint Heirs with Christ Jesus!!!!  This verse refers us to Deut. 9:29.



Deuteronomy 9:29 (NKJV) Yet they are Your people and Your inheritance, whom You brought out by Your mighty power and by Your outstretched arm.’



This verse is talking about how God brought the Children of Israel out of Egypt and out of bondage with HIS MIGHTY OUTSTRETCHED ARM!!!



Do you know that God brought His People came out of Egypt with the riches of the land???  And do you know that they were no sick among them???


Psalm 105:37 (NKJV) He also brought them out with silver and gold,
And there was none feeble among His tribes.

Today, we are also His Children!!!  We are also His People, His Chosen Ones.  He hasn’t forgotten Israel, but HE has included us!!!  He has adopted us!!! 

And as HIS CHILDREN, we know that HE IS OUR STRENGTH, AND OUR REFUGE!!! 



We can count on HIM to save us from ALL that comes against us!!! And as HIS INHERITANCE, we can expect to be blessed!!! 


We can trust in GOD and say to HIM, shepherd us-guide us and lead us!!!  Watch over us!!!  And bear us up forever, Oh LORD!!! 


Psalm 28:8-9 (NKJV)

And one day very soon, when this life is over, and we have ran our race with patience, we will see Jesus. 


Isaiah 25:9 (NKJV)

⁹ And it will be said in that day:
“Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the Lord;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”
