God Really Does Want to Bless Us!!!

Written Sept. 19, 2011

Our Father, God, really does want to bless us!!!  He wants to give us His favor and His blessings!!!  All we have to do is be faithful to believe and confess HIS WORD!!!

Lord, we come to You right now on behalf of Your Child.  And we stand together in Faith on Your Word, Lord!!!

First of all, Father, we know and believe according to Your Word that we can have whatsoever we ask of You in Jesus’ Name.  And Father, we need some money-not just a little pocket change.

Lord, we ask that You provide us with an overabundance of blessing that when others ask why we have money when they do NOT, we can say that Our Father in Heaven supplies all of our needs according to His Riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

John 14:13-14  13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Father, we also know that
we can have what we say, if we doubt NOT in our hearts!!!  We command satan to loose his hold on our finances and we rebuke him right now.  We proclaim that he cannot hinder our blessings!  LORD, You say in Malachi 3 that when we pay our tithes, YOU rebuke the devourer for our sakes!

Mark 11:23-24 23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Malachi 3:10-12 (KJV) 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts

12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Father, You say that we have not because we ask not, so Father, we come to You believing that You are providing for us and knowing that we shall be exceeding abundantly blessed!

We stand on Your Word which says, My God shall supply all your need according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19

And Father, You have also told us in Your Word that, If We Delight Ourselves in You, LORD, You SHALL give us the desires of our heart. Ps.37: 4

And so, Father God, we proclaim that our cup is running over according to Ps. 23 and that You, Father, are our Lord and our Shepherd; we shall not want!!!

Father, we stand in Faith believing that ALL Your blessings shall overtake us!!  Luke 6:38 says, Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Father, we claim ALL Your Blessings, and we call the devil a liar for we know that You are delighted to bless us and TO see us do well.

Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Father, You say in Your Word, that YOU will bless us more than we can even imagine!!!  Eph. 3:19-20 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. 20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Father God
is so good and He really does want all of us to prosper!!!  He says so in His Word!!!   3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

And last, but NOT least, Our Father tells us in His Word that He has good things planned for us.  Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

All these things we pray and expect in Jesus' Name!!!  And we thank You, Lord for answering our prayers and Father because YOU are so good to us!!!

Malachi 3:10

Amplified Bible (AMP)
10Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

We Danced!!!

(This is a new version of Footprints in the Sand.)

Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together.  For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.

But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.

For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His consistently.

You and Jesus are walking as true friends!

This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.

Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.

This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change.  The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.

Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.

This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back.....................

This time it seems even worse!  Zigzags all over the place.  Stops.   Starts.  Gashes in the sand.  A variable mess of prints.

You are amazed and shocked.

Your dream ends.

Now you begin to pray:

"Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits. I was a new Christian; I was just learning.  And You walked with me on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You."

"That's correct."

"And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely."

"Precisely."

"When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming more like You in every way."

"That’s right."

"So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first."

There is a pause as Jesus answers, with a smile in His voice.

"You didn't know?  That's when we danced!"

*******

Last week, I found this new version of Footprints and I wanted to share it with you today, but first I asked the Lord if it would line up with the Word and HE gave me this scripture.

2 Samuel 6:14-15 (KJV)

14And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

15So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

I also wanted to include this scripture.  It was with the poem.

Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

“Something GOOD is going to happen to me, today!!!”

Have you ever had a birdie poop on your head?

Well, that is what happened to me when I walked outside this morning.  I was taking the dogs outside to the yard, and “PLOP.”

I thought, “You’ve got to be kidding me!!!”  And then I thought, surely NOT!!!  But I knew!  I just knew, so I wasn’t about to put my hand in my hair.

When I got back inside I went to the bathroom to use the mirror, so I could see exactly what was in my hair.  Sure enough, there was green birdie doo in my hair!

I told the Lord, “If this is a sign of the way my day is going to go, I am going back to bed and I will just start over tomorrow.”

The Lord let me know right then and there, that if ALL it took was a little birdie doo to discourage me and make me give up, I could expect to have a bird waiting on me every day of my life, because the devil would make sure to arrange it!

There would be a bird waiting to poop on me every day when I came out of the door of my house.

And then GOD said to me, “At least, you hadn’t just washed your hair!  And you weren’t all dressed up and ready to go somewhere.”

You were planning on taking a shower and washing your hair anyway.  So, what’s a little birdie doo?  It’ll wash right out.

So, I decided to look at it, as a protein pack for my hair.  And I decided that I was going to expect good things today!

So, I said to myself, and the Lord and that ole devil, “Something GOOD is going to happen to me, today!!!”

…And it did!!!

More than one good thing happened to me, today.

First of all, my friend and I got a good laugh out of all of this.

And then I decided to write about it.  This morning when I got up, I had no idea what I was going to write today.

So, now I have given the devil a black eye by turning something he meant for evil, into something good and something to glorify God.

Romans 8:28 (KJV) 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I will sup with him and he with me.

Have you ever thought about what it means to sup with someone?

Well, in Revelation 3:20, Jesus tells us, “…if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

To sup, means to eat and fellowship with someone.  When you sup with someone, you and they are sharing in and partaking of the same things.

When I looked up the word, “partake,” I found that it means:  specifically to eat or drink something, especially in company with others.

Jesus says, “…if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Revelation 3:20 (CEV) …If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together.

Do you know that when you invite Jesus to come in, He will come in?  And once He has come in, He wants to sit down and share with you.  He wants to visit with you and get to know you.

It is like being asked to go to lunch with a treasured friend.  Can you imagine getting a special invitation or note?  And when you open it up, you find that it is from Jesus, and HE is inviting you to go eat with Him.

When you arrive at the restaurant, there He sits, waiting patiently for you.  So you go in, and you sit down with Him and you both order something to eat.  Then as the two of you sit and eat, you begin to talk.

And the two of you sit and talk for hours.  You tell Him all about your life and He tells you all about His life.

I will come in and we will eat together.

Is Jesus still sitting in your Living Room?

On Sunday night, as I wondered what I would write about next, God said, Rev. 3:20, so I looked it up.

And this is what I read, Revelation 3:20 (KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Most of us have already answered the door and invited Jesus to come in.  We have answered His Call, and said, Come in here, Jesus, and visit with me for a while.  This room is clean.  We can sit in here and visit for a while.

But have we actually invited HIM into our lives?  Have we actually said, “Here I am?  I am ALL yours!!!  Do with me what you will.”

Or is Jesus still sitting in our living room where we left Him 10 years ago???

Did we invite Him to sit down in our Living Room?  Did we say, Hold on!  Wait just a minute, I’ll be right back!!!  Have we gotten too busy and forgot all about HIM.

Have you left Jesus sitting in your Living Room, patiently waiting for you to come back and visit with HIM?

You know, when we opened the door and invited Jesus in, He came in.  And He wants to spend time with us.  He wants to fellowship with us and HE wants to get to know us.

That seems so simple, and it is.  But it just keeps getting better and better.  It doesn’t end there!  There is so much more to it than that.  When He comes in, it is NOT as a guest, who comes to stay for a little while and visit.

Jesus
is NOT this person who is asking us to take care of Him.

NO NOT AT ALL!!!
He is asking us to let HIM come in, so that He can take care of us, forever and always!!!  He has no ulterior motives.  He just wants to take care of us because HE LOVES US SO!!!

He wants to be our Trusted Friend, Protector and Provider!!!
He will be our Father, Mother, Husband, or Big Brother, if that is what we need, because HE truly loves and cares for us.

He wants what is best for us.  He will carry our burdens for us, if we give them to Him.  He will take away all of our worries, concerns, and problems.

He comes to live with us and stay with us forever.  He comes to help us out every day and in every way.  He comes to make our lives better.

So, now that you have invited Him in, what are you going to do?  Are you going to say, “Come on in Jesus.”  Come in and make yourself at home!  There’s plenty of tea in the frig and food in the pantry.  Prop your feet up and sit a spell.  Stay as long as you like.”

Do we treat Him like a TRUSTED FRIEND who is allowed to go into any room in our house?  Or do we treat Him like a guest?  Do we act like we are tired of Him?  Do we act like we wish He would go home because we just don’t have time for HIM?

Is it okay for Jesus to sit in the Living Room or go into the kitchen, as long as He doesn’t go into any of the other rooms in our house?

Are we saying, Jesus, Please don’t go in that room!  I haven’t cleaned it yet!!!  That’s why the door is closed, so no one goes in.

Are we saying, Jesus don’t open up the closets because all my stuff will fall out!!  And you will see my mess!

Don’t we know that Jesus came to help us get our house clean!!!  He came to help us get organized!  He wants to make our lives better.

Would you be horrified to come home and find Jesus cleaning your house or would you be glad to have HIM help you?

You know, He is the only one that you can really trust to help you clean your house.  He won’t take away anything that is precious.  He won’t get rid of anything without asking you first.  And He won’t throw away anything that you can use.  He won’t throw out anything, but the trash.

And when He has finished helping you, everything will be in its place.  The windows will shine and the floor will be spotless, and you will be so proud of your house!!!

Isn’t it time that we gave it ALL to Jesus?  All our mess!!! All our problems! All of our fears, insecurities, heartaches, and pains???

Isn’t it time that we let HIM go into every room in our house???

Isn’t it time, we let him clean our house?

WILL YOU WAIT TOO LATE?

What do you do when you go to visit your favorite aunt or your best friend?  Well, if you didn’t call first, then you probably look to make sure that their car is there.  And when you are sure that they are home, you knock on their door or ring the bell.

Most of the time, depending on what friend I am visiting, I will call out their name!  If I was at your door, you might hear me calling your name, and saying, “It’s Just Me!!!”  “It’s Kathy!”

Revelation 3:20 (CEV) 20Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together.

Can’t you just picture Jesus standing there, knocking at your door?

And can’t you just hear HIM calling your name and saying, “It’s just me!  It’s Jesus!!!”  “Come open the door and let me in!!”

This is what came to me, when I reread this scripture.  I thought who wouldn’t open the door and let Jesus in?  Especially, when I saw this part of the scripture:  If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in…

Then I realized that probably the only person who wouldn’t let Jesus in would be the one who didn’t hear HIM knocking or calling.  And I wondered if there was anyone who wouldn’t hear Jesus calling them?  Anyone who wouldn’t hear HIS VOICE?

You see, I figure if HE is standing there knocking at your door and HE is calling for you to let HIM in, then you are being invited to join the Kingdom, the Family of GOD!  I say that because for Jesus to be standing at your door knocking, God has to be drawing you.

John 6:44 (KJV) No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Why would someone NOT hear Jesus knocking at the door?  Why would someone NOT hear the Lord calling their name?  I just could NOT understand why anyone would NOT hear the VOICE of the LORD when HE comes?

As I pondered this question, the Lord reminded me of this scripture.

Matthew 25:1-13 (AMP) 1THEN THE kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.

2
Five of them were foolish (thoughtless, without forethought) and five were wise (sensible, intelligent, and prudent).

3For when the foolish took their lamps, they did not take any [extra] oil with them;

4But the wise took flasks of oil along with them [also] with their lamps.

5While the bridegroom lingered and was slow in coming, they all began nodding their heads, and they fell asleep.

6But at midnight there was a shout, Behold, the bridegroom! Go out to meet him!

7Then all those virgins got up and put their own lamps in order.

8And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.

9But the wise replied, There will not be enough for us and for you; go instead to the dealers and buy for yourselves.

10But while they were going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut.

11Later the other virgins also came and said, Lord, Lord, open [the door] to us!

12But He replied, I solemnly declare to you, I do not know you [I am not acquainted with you].

13Watch therefore [give strict attention and be cautious and active], for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come.

As I read this parable, the answer to my question was revealed.  There are folks who just aren’t ready!!!  They are NOT prepared!!!

It’s NOT that they don’t hear HIM calling or that they can’t hear HIS VOICE.  They hear HIM CALLING, but they just keep telling themselves that they are too young to serve God, or He’s CALLING TOO SOON and that they just haven’t lived yet!!!

And of course, they don’t even realize that those lies came straight from the devil because he wants to steal their soul.  The devil wants to make sure that they miss out and miss CHRIST when HE comes.

Do you hear HIM calling you?  Have you been ignoring HIS VOICE?

The WORD
says that no one knows when God is going to send JESUS back, NOT even Jesus himself.  So, if HE has been standing at the door and knocking, if HE has been calling you, then YOU ARE TAKING A GREAT CHANCE!!!

Matthew 25:13 (KJV)  13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

You might say, “Oh!!  But that is a long time away!”

Really!!!  Well, you could be right.  It may be a long time before Jesus comes back to get the whole world!

BUT WHAT IF TODAY IS YOUR LAST DAY?

When it is your time to go, it won’t matter what everyone else is doing, because He will be coming to get you!!!

Take heed!  He could call your name sooner than you think!!!! Be Alert!  Be ready in case He calls your name and you HEAR HIM NOT!!!

I just know that when Jesus comes back for me, I want to be watching for HIM and I want to be ready!!!  I want to be prepared to go when with HIM when HE comes for me.

When HE COMES, WE WON’T HAVE TIME TO GET READY!
If you aren’t ready to meet HIM, it will be TOO LATE!!!

Are you putting off answering the door?  Are you saying in a little while Jesus, in a little while.  I’ll come in, in just a little while!!!

ARE YOU GOING TO WAIT UNTIL IT IS TOO LATE???

WHAT IF JESUS COMES BACK FOR YOU TODAY???

By SPECIAL INVITATION, ONLY!!!

Revelation 3:20 (KJV) 20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

For many years, I have heard folks say that Jesus stands at the door of our heart and knocks.  I have even heard them say the same thing many times in many churches during the altar call.  And I know that everyone who loves Jesus truly wants the world to be saved!!!  We ALL want others to know GOD and to know Jesus personally!!!

I have heard so many preachers say, “Today, Jesus is standing at the door of your heart and knocking, if only you will ask HIM to come in.”  And I think that I have said something similar, myself.  And, you know, when we hear that said, it actually sounds pretty good.

Now, what am I getting at???

Well, as I studied today, I could hear the Spirit say that you have to be drawn by God.  So, I looked it up!

John 6:44 (KJV) No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Do you realize that this scripture is telling us that NOT everyone is drawn to Jesus by GOD, so that they can come in and get to know Jesus?

That made me think.  So, I went back and read Rev. 3:20 again in several different versions of the Bible, and when I read the Contemporary English Version, I decided that it is probably a much better translation of this scripture than the others.

Revelation 3:20 (CEV) 20Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together.

Wow!!!  What a privilege it is, to be chosen by GOD to be one of those who is asked to open the door so that HE can come in.  So, that we can come to know HIM!  That means that when Jesus knocks on the door of our heart, that it is ONLY by SPECIAL INVITATION, that we are invited to come to Jesus.

Do you hear His Voice calling your name?  Is He standing at Your Door, and knocking, asking YOU to let Him come in?

Do you realize how special you are?  If God is drawing you, and inviting you to come into HIS FAMILY, then you must be very special, indeed!!!

Is God drawing you?  Is He wooing you, today???

If you hear my voice and open the door…

John 14: 1-3, 27-29

John 14 (KJV) 1-3  1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

John 14:27-29 (CEV) 27I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn't like the peace that this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

28
You have already heard me say that I am going and that I will also come back to you. If you really love me, you should be glad that I am going back to the Father, because he is greater than I am.

29
I am telling you this before I leave, so that when it does happen, you will have faith in me.

In ALL your getting, Get an Understanding

Proverbs 4:7
(KJV) Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Proverbs 4:7 (CEB) The beginning of wisdom: Get wisdom! Get understanding before anything else.

There are people-scholars and priests-who spend all their time reading and studying the Bible, but I wonder if they have any true revelation of God’s Word?  Do they have any idea of who God is or even the simplest understanding of God’s Word?

1 Corinthians 2:10-14 (CEV) 10God's Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. 11You are the only one who knows what is in your own mind, and God's Spirit is the only one who knows what is in God's mind.

12But God has given us his Spirit. That's why we don't think the same way that the people of this world think. That's also why we can recognize the blessings that God has given us.

13Every word we speak was taught to us by God's Spirit, not by human wisdom. And this same Spirit helps us teach spiritual things to spiritual people. 14That's why only someone who has God's Spirit can understand spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit thinks these blessings are foolish.

God’s Word
becomes part of ours lives as we read and study it and pray over it!  When we have Christ in us, Christ should be seen in the things that we do!  I have heard it said many times, if you truly know God and His Word, then you will live it.

John 15:7 (KJV)   7If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Psalm 111:10 (KJV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Many years ago as I sat and listened to my pastor teach, he told us many things, but this one thing stuck with me!
He said before you study or read God’s Word, ask the Lord to help you understand what you read and study.

I don’t ever remember having been told that before, not even by my pastor growing up.  Not by my youth leader, not by anyone.  And I can tell you today, that it is a
Word from the Lord!!!

For any of us to truly understand the scriptures, God has to open them up to us and make them real.
He has to help us understand ALL of HIS WORD.

God’s Word is good for all aspects of our lives.  Not just so we can understand the scriptures, but so we can live every day to the fullest, so that we can get the most out of life.

Proverbs 9:6 (KJV) 6Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

God
knows and has planned everything in our lives before the beginning of our existence.  God has designed and planned everything to work in accordance with HIS WILL and HIS WORD.

Because
God already knows everything that will happen to us, HIS SPIRIT will lead and guide us, teaching us all things just as He says in His Word.

Psalm 139:15-17 (CEV) 15Nothing about me is hidden from you! I was secretly woven together deep in the earth below, 16but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do. 17Your thoughts are far beyond my understanding, much more than I could ever imagine.

Isaiah 55:8 (KJV) 8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  We don’t think like God thinks, but that doesn’t mean that we cannot understand what God says is His Word.  It means that we do not think the same way God thinks not do we act as God would act.  We have to seek Him for an understanding of HIS WORD!!  That is why He has given us the gift of His Holy Spirit.

John 14:26 King James Version (KJV)  26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Now, the word ALL means everything, leaving nothing out!!!

So, for this scripture to be true, and for the
HOLY GHOST to lead, guide and teach us ALL THINGS, He has to help us with the things of this world, not just the Heavenly things above, but ALL THINGS!!!

John 16:13 (KJV)  13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

God
tells us here that the Holy Spirit will guide us into ALL truth and then it says that HE will show us things to come.  And God means exactly what He says.

To make sure that I was accurate, I looked up the word, truth.  And the first thing that Wikipedia said is:   Truth has a variety of meanings, such as the state of being in accord with fact or reality.

So, if we replace the word, truth in the first part of that scripture with the words, fact or reality, here is what it says.   Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all fact or reality.

So, to rephrase this, that means that the Holy Ghost is going to show us the facts or the reality of every situation.  Here’s what we have if we add the last part of that scripture to this part.  Now I know that I am leaving out the middle, but just bear with me, please.

Not only is the Holy Ghost is going to show us the facts or the reality of every situation, but He also is going to show us things that are going to come, but have not yet happened.

So, if we will listen to HIM, The Holy Spirit will show us ALL THAT WE NEED TO KNOW!!!  And in HIS WORD, GOD is NOT just talking about spiritual things, He is also talking about things in our daily lives.  He is talking about EVERYTHING we need to know.

The Holy Ghost will help us, if we will only listen to HIM when HE SPEAKS.

Proverbs 9:9-12 (CEB) 9 Teach the wise, and they will become wiser; inform the righteous, and their learning will increase. 10 The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the LORD; the knowledge of the holy one is understanding. 11 Through me your days will be many; years will be added to your life.  12 If you are wise, it is to your benefit; if you are cynical, you will bear it all alone.

God knows me...

All of my talents, all of my gifts, everything that I have comes from the Lord.  Everything that I can do, and everything that I am called to do, it all comes from the Lord.  Even my strengths and my weaknesses, they come from the Lord!

Everyone has something that they are good at and something they are not.  Everyone!  Yes, even YOU!

The Lord has blessed me to be BOLD!!!  I can talk to anyone at any place and I do.  I love to talk!!!  I am also very creative, and I am very talented.  I am very independent, and I like solving my own problems.

But some of my greatest strengths are also, some of my greatest weaknesses.  When you can talk a blue streak as I can, you often fail to really listen to others.  The saying, “Your ears don’t work, when your mouth is moving,” is very true.  Sometimes I do NOT think before I speak!  Whatever we do has to line up with The WORD.

James 1:19 (CEV) 19My dear friends, you should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry.

I don’t have anything that God didn’t give me.  The gift of HOLY BOLDNESS that I have and the gift of Ministering are both gifts that God has given me.  I can still remember the first time that I got up in front of people at a church, all by myself.  I was so scared, but God told me to get up and I got up.

With God by my side, I found that I could get up in the house of God and tell of His goodness.  And I found that as long as I was obedient to HIM, and preached what He told me to preach, HE would anoint me to speak.

Just as everything that I have comes from the Lord, so does everything that you have.  All of the areas that you do well in and all the ways in which you are so talented, GOD has gifted you in those areas.

God created each of us and formed us.  He gave us life.  He chose us before the foundation of the earth.

Ephesians 1:4 (AMP) Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

Psalm 100:3 (KJV) Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

He knew you and me before we were formed in our mothers' womb.  He knew us before we were even twinkles in our papas’ eye.

Isaiah 49:1 (KJV) …The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name.

Jeremiah 1:4-5 4Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

So, before I was even a thought, the Lord knew who I was going to be, who HE designed me to be.  And He knew you and who you were going to be.

Psalm 139:13 (AMP) For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 (KJV) I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15-17 (CEV) 15Nothing about me is hidden from you! I was secretly woven together deep in the earth below, 16but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do.

17Your thoughts are far beyond my understanding, much more than I could ever imagine.

So, God had it all planned out!!!  He had us all planned out!  Just think, God knew if we would short or tall, skinny or fat, blonde, brunette or auburn.  He knew if we would sunburn and peel, have freckles or tan and get golden brown.  He had our lives all planned out.

According to verse 16, He NOT only knew and planned everything, but He has it written down.

Wow!!!  Thank you, LORD!  The Lord just showed me something.  Let me see if I can explain it to you.

So, because God already sees and knows everything, HE reveals to His Spirit, the things that He wants the Spirit to show us.  That is how the Spirit is able to show us things to come. John 16:13

And because He shows His Spirit these things, His Spirit is also able to teach us all things. John 14:26

Here is how these scriptures apply to me and the experience that I had with my plumbing this week.

If I had been sensitive to the Holy Ghost, I would have saved myself and my friend a lot of work by hearing HIS Voice and by seeing what He was trying to show me.

The Holy Ghost will help us, if we will only listen to HIM when HE SPEAKS.

Earlier this week, I had a water leak.  My friend fixed it and at my request, he replaced the cutoff valve.  What we did not know, was that the new cutoff that I had bought was faulty, so 2 days later I had no water.

Now, I know that if I had asked the Lord whether or not to have my friend put the new valve in, He would have said, “NO!”  But did I ask?  “No, I did NOT!”  Ever heard this expression?  “BIG MISTAKE!!!”

My friend had worked until 1 am two nights before to get my plumbing fixed, and had left the hole unfilled at my insistence.  Thank you, Lord that I had not gotten around to filling it.

So, here I am, sitting outside in my yard in a muddy hole with water still in it.  And I am trying NOT to end up covered in mud and plumbing glue.  I had already cut out the faulty valve and had tried to leave as much of the good plumbing as possible.
I had already measured the area where the new pipe and the old valve had to fit at least 3 times.  You see, I kept having this funny feeling that I was going to cut the pipe too short, if I cut it in the place where I had it marked.

What I did not know was that there had been 2 leaks instead of one and that the 2nd leaky connector was still glued to the old valve that I was fixing to reuse.

I can even remember now, asking my friend if that connector was leaking. So, the Lord had already showed me that it was leaking, but I had forgotten.

You see, the thought kept coming to me over and over again, if you cut it there, it will be too short.  I know now that it was the Holy Spirit whispering that thought to me!!!

He was trying to teach me and show me things to come.  If I had of listened to HIM, I could have saved well over an hour of my time.  By allowing Him to lead me, I could have fixed the plumbing one time and would not have had to redo it.

So because I failed to realize that the Holy Spirit was speaking to me, I ended up cutting the pipe too short.  When I had to remove the bad connector, I had needed a longer piece of pipe to reconnect the plumbing.

I realize now that the words, “if you cut it there,” should have made me realize that GOD was speaking to me!

Any time, you keep having a thought come to you, you need to stop and pray!!!  I sure wish I had!

To end this story, I will tell you, that finally with the Lord’s help and in the end, lots of prayer, I finally pieced together the plumbing and reinstalled the old valve.

And everything, including the old valve, works fine and I filled the hole.  I have no more leaks and everything is working fine!!!  “It may not look pretty, but it works!!!”

To sum it up, I do make mistakes and I don’t always hear the Lord, but I am working on it!!!  And I can truthfully say that life is getting better and better.  NOT listening to the Lord makes my life TOO HARD!!!  So, I do try to listen to HIM and not solve my own problems without consulting HIM.

I can truthfully say that every time I do things my way, I regret it, but when I do things God’s way, they always turn out great!!!  You know, it is NOT that ALL of our plans are unwise.  What is unwise is NOT taking them to God for approval before trying to do them.

I wonder how many of us can say, “We did it GOD’S WAY” and He is well pleased!!!  Or would we have to say, I did it my way?

Are you doing the things that God designed you to do?  Are you using your God-given gifts and talents?  Are you who God created YOU to be?  Are you living life to the fullest???  Or are you just spinning your wheels?

I ask you today to double check your life.  If you can’t answer these questions or you get this funny or uneasy feeling, then make some time for GOD!!!  He knows exactly what you need!!!  Why not ask HIM?

I can tell you this.  If God isn’t getting the glory out of what you are doing, then you have a problem.  I can’t say that you are or are NOT doing the right things with your life, but I know that God created all of us to glorify HIM.

Afterall, God gave us life and then He gave us free will!!!  That means we get to choose, and we get to decide, what to do with our lives and how to live our lives.  But in the end, there will be a day where we stand before the LORD!

2 Corinthians 5:10 (AMP) 10For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing].

And NO ONE, NO MAN, NOT EVEN JESUS, knows what day or hour Christ shall return!!!  I don’t care who prophesies or says otherwise.  They are deceived.  If God isn’t telling Jesus, then He isn’t telling anyone else!!!

Mark 13:32-33 (CEV) 32No one knows the day or the time. The angels in heaven don't know, and the Son himself doesn't know. Only the Father knows. 33So watch out and be ready! You don't know when the time will come.

Has God been trying to speak to you through His Holy Spirit?  The Holy Spirit is a gentleman!  He will never force himself on anyone.

1 Kings 19:11-12 (KJV)  11And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

12And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Are you ignoring that still small voice that keeps speaking to you?

They That Wait Upon the Lord…

This is one of those, “Wow” scriptures!!!

Isaiah 40:28-31

28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Every time I read the 31st verse, I feel strengthened and renewed!!!  Isn’t that amazing!!!  Isn’t God awesome!!!

28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

I never really thought about it before, but as I read this verse this morning, the truth hit me.  Have you ever thought about it?  God sees and truly understands all things.  He even knows what we have hid in our hearts!  The thoughts we never dare to utter out loud!!!

The truth is that we only understand and know that which is shown or revealed to us by God, but HE knows the whole truth.  And when Jesus (the perfect one) comes back to get us and we are in HIM, we will then have the Mind of Christ and understand and know all things as God does.

And at that time, all that we knew and all the things of this world will vanish.  There will no longer be any need of those things and they shall pass away.

1 Cor. 13: 8-10  …whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Do you realize that God never sleeps?  He doesn’t even get tired!!!  Wow!!!  Just think, if Adam & Eve had not sinned, we would be like that!!  Never tired!  Wow!!!

HE never sleeps!!!  That boggles my mind!!!  Psalms 121:4  Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Wow, that means while I am sleeping God is still watching out for me and working on my behalf!!!

29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.  He empowers us and strengthens us; HE bears us up when we are weak.  That reminds me of the poem about the footprints in the sand and how I know that when I see only one set of footprints, it is because He has picked me up and is carrying me.

30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: Just think about it, even the kids who are so young and so strong, they eventually get tired.  They have to sleep or they will fall out!

31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Wow, this is the best part!!!  But they that wait upon the Lord…  He shall renew their strength!!!  If we are in God and we are doing His will, HE will renew us.

I have always wanted to fly like the eagles.  Just think, to catch the wind and soar among the clouds!!!  They can fly for ever, because they ride on the wind!!!  Just think if we would only depend on Him and glide along on and in HIS STRENGTH!!!  We could ride the wind!

We can run and not be weary!!!  We can walk and not be faint.  We don’t have to be tired or worn out, but in His Strength, WE CAN CONTINUE ON!!!
