No Man Can Stand Against You!!!

With the exception of Joshua and Caleb, GOD’s faithful servants, everyone in the previous generation including Moses had died just as GOD said they would.  Now it was time for the younger generation to go into the land that GOD had promised them – a land flowing with milk and honey!!!


GOD had called Joshua to lead this new CHOSEN generation of people, and this time they would take the land just as GOD had promised.

Joshua 1:1 (KJV) Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
² “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.
GOD promised to give HIS CHILDREN every piece of land they walked on.  What an amazing promise!!!  Just imagine GOD promising us this today!!!

Joshua 1:3 (NKJV) Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

GOD instructions are precise!!!  HE told the children of Israel exactly where their new land began and where it ended. 


When GOD gives you something, there is no guessing or wondering!!!  GOD is specific and exact!!!  HE will make HIS PERFECT WILL CLEAR!!!


Joshua 1:4 (AMP) From the wilderness [of Arabia in the south] and this Lebanon [in the north], even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates [in the east], all the land of the Hittites (Canaan), and as far as the Great [Mediterranean] Sea toward the west shall be your territory.


GOD told Joshua that HE would watch over him and defeat his enemies for him for as long as HE lived.  GOD told Joshua that HE would allow no man to stand against him.  No man would be able to succeed against Joshua as long as HE walked in obedience to GOD!!! 

GOD also reassured Joshua that HE would be with him just as HE had been with Moses.  GOD promised Joshua that HE would never leave him nor let him down!!!   


Joshua 1:5 (AMP) No man will [be able to] stand before you [to oppose you] as long as you live. Just as I was [present] with Moses, so will I be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you.


THE LORD told Joshua to be a strong and courageous leader because Joshua would be the one to divide the land among the children of Israel.

Joshua 1:6 (KJV) Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.


In verse 6, the Amplified Bible says, Be strong and confident and courageous… 


Just as Joshua was to be careful and obey everything Moses had taught HIM, we have to be careful to obey GOD and do what HIS WORD says!!!


Joshua 1:7 (CEB) “Be very brave and strong as you carefully obey all of the Instruction that Moses my servant commanded you. Don’t deviate even a bit from it, either to the right or left. Then you will have success wherever you go.” 


Just as the Amplified Bible says, turn NOT to the right nor the left, so that you can prosper and be successful WHEREVER YOU GO!!!   


Joshua 1:7 (AMP) do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may prosper and be successful wherever you go.


Joshua’s battles would be with people of other lands, but still GOD told him that no one would be able to stand against him and be successful, as long as HE walked with GOD!!!


GOD is saying this same thing to us today!!!  If we will be careful and obey every command that GOD gives us, HE will stand with us against every enemy and HE will remove every obstacle that stands in our way!!!


If set our face as a flint and we turn NOT to the right nor to the left, GOD WILL MAKE US PROSPEROUS AND SUCCESSFUL IN EVERYTHING WE DO!!!
