Seek God's Wisdom

James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

I like the way in which The Message Bible explains it!!! 

James 3:17-18 The Message Bible (MSG) ^17-18Real wisdom, God's wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced.  You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.

As I was pondering on James 3:17, I realized that there was another scripture, but I couldn’t remember what it was.  So, I asked God about it. 

God said, “Seek.”  And so, I typed, Seek God’s Wisdom in my Search Box and this is the scripture that I found. 

Matthew 7:7 (KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Wow!!  Isn’t God good!!!  If we ASK for HIS Wisdom, He will give it to us.  If we SEEK God and His Wisdom, we will find it.  I just love that! 

You know some folks cannot stand to be around folks who are learning.  They get upset if a person asks the same question twice, but NOT GOD!!!  God never thinks that our questions are dumb. 

He never gets mad if we ask the same question over and over again.  He never treats us bad.  He knows that there are times when we have to start over and learn the same lesson again.  He work with us, patiently to reveal His Word to us. 
 

God delights in watching us learn and in revealing His Word to us.  He loves to watch us find little nuggets of Knowledge and precious words of Wisdom. 

And even when we want to give up, He will be there to encourage us!!!  He is continually, trying to teach us and help us learn.  He never fusses or gripes or complains.  

 

He loves US!!!  And He loves to spend time with us.  He loves for us to seek HIM and spend time with HIM!!! 


James 1:5-6 Today's New International Version (TNIV)  ⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

Our Father, God, is truly pleased when we seek HIM and when we seek to understand what He is saying to us in HIS WORD. 

If we seek HIM, HE will teach us.  HE will reveal HIS WORD to us in ways that we would never have dreamed of or even thought of.   

Colossians 2:2-3 (CEB) ²My goal is that their hearts would be encouraged and united together in love so that they might have all the riches of assurance that come with understanding, so that they might have the knowledge of the secret plan of God, namely Christ.  ³All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in him.
