Napping in Jesus!!!

I trust in you, Lord and I know that YOU will make a way for me. 

You know, I don’t just say that lightly.  I am trying to learn to trust in the Lord completely.  The reason that I say, COMPLETELY is because, at times, I find myself worrying about certain areas or issues in my life.  I would like to be able to say that I never, ever worry about anything, but that would be a lie.

But I am working on it!!!  There is so much peace in saying, “Here GOD, I give this problem to you and if you don’t do something with it, then it isn’t going to get done.” 

That may sound arrogant, but it is NOT!!!  That is how you turn over something to GOD!!!  You have to give it to HIM and then let it go!  You can’t be going back to check on it.  You have to just trust that HE will take care of it.     

I want to have so much peace and confidence in my God in every area of my life that HIS PEACE SURROUNDS ME and flows out to the people around me. 

I want to hear every word HE SPEAKS TO ME and I do NOT want to miss anything that HE IS TELLING ME OR SHOWING ME, whether it is a feeling or a thought or even the wind blowing and a leaf fluttering near by.

I don’t just want to have the peace that passes ALL understanding, I want to walk confidently in it!!!

Phil. 4:6-7 (KJV) ⁶Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

 ⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We trust the doctor!  We trust the dentist!  We trust the veterinarian with our pets!  We go to the Eye Doctor and The Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. 

But what about GOD???  Do we trust in God? 

Jesus tells us twice in this chapter, “Let NOT your heart be troubled.”

John 14:1, 27 (KJV) ¹Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  ²⁷Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I like the way the CEV reads.  John 14:27  I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn't like the peace that this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

I heard Joyce Meyer tell this one time and it really stuck with me.  She said that she kept telling the Lord over and over again that she did not want to miss HIM.  She said that finally one day the Lord said to her, “Joyce, if you miss me, I will find you!!!”

Isn’t that awesome!!!  God is so cool!  


So, if we truly trust the Lord, then we should be able to sleep at night or take a nap during the day time.  We should NOT be letting our worries keep us up at night!!  We should NOT be losing sleep over the things that are happening in our lives! 

So, today, when a friend called and told me that things were NOT working out as he planned, I assured him that God would make a way!!! 

I had already prayed over this situation and I told the Lord that I knew He was going to make a way!!

And then I took a nap!!!  And my sleep was sweet!!! 


I could nap soundly and confidently in the Lord because I knew that my God would make a way!!!
