What Does God say about Children?

In God’s Word, He says several things about our children and how we are to raise them!!!!   



God tells us how blessed we are to have kids and lots of them!!!



Psalm 127:3-5 (NKJV)

³ Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

⁴ Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

⁵ Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Do you know that we are supposed to teach our kids what THE WORD says?  God makes it plain!!! 



Deuteronomy 6:6-9 (NCV)

⁶ Always remember these commands I give you today.

⁷ Teach them to your children, and talk about them when you sit at home and walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.⁸ Write them down and tie them to your hands as a sign. Tie them on your forehead to remind you,

⁹ and write them on your doors and gates.

God tells us that we are supposed to show our kids how to walk holy before HIM!!!

Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV) Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6 (NCV) Train children to live the right way, and when they are old, they will not stray from it.

God makes it clear that as parents we are supposed to deal with our children using patience and kindness. We are to treat them with the same mercy that God shows us!!!



Colossians 3:21 (NKJV) Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.



And if we are righteous and do what’s right He promises us that our children will follow in our footsteps!!!

Isaiah 54:13 (NKJV) All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.
