Whose report will you believe??? Are you going to BELIEVE WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS or are you going to look around at your circumstances and let what you see overwhelm you and freak you out???
Isaiah 53:1 (KJV) Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
Many of us have a problem!!! Instead of looking to GOD who is our strength
in time of trouble, we are too busy looking at everything that is going on
around us!!!
Psalm 46:1
(KJV) God is our refuge and strength, a very present
help in trouble.
I
heard a preacher say it this way a long time ago!!!
He called it WRONG FOCUS!!! He had it exactly right!!!
If we
focus or concentrate on GOD and what we know HE can and will do for us,
everything around us melts away!!! Our
problems begin to look very small compared to the great GOD that we
serve!!!
Psalm 147:1-8 (KJV)
147 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing
praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
2 The
Lord
doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together
the outcasts of Israel.
3 He
healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 He
telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5 Great
is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
6 The
Lord
lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.
7 Sing
unto the Lord
with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
8 Who
covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh
grass to grow upon the mountains.
When
we do NOT stay focused on GOD and we look all around us at our circumstances,
our problems seem to get really big and we forget that
OUR GOD is MIGHTY AND POWERFUL!!!
Isaiah 53:1 (AMP)
Who has believed [confidently trusted in, relied
on, and adhered to] our message [of salvation]?
And to whom [if not us] has the arm and
infinite power of the Lord been revealed?
We forget that our GOD IS THE CREATOR AND LORD OF THE UNIVERSE!!! We forget that every knee shall bow at HIS
FEET!!!
Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV)
121 I will lift up mine eyes
unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My
help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.
Romans 14:11
(KJV) For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord,
every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Many
times our circumstances can be overwhelming, and we feel like they are going to
overtake us!!!! But if we look to JESUS,
THE AUTHOR and FINISHER OF OUR FAITH, we begin to see those problems shrink and
grow very small!!!
Psalm 61:1-2 (KJV)
61 Hear my
cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth will
I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is
higher than I.
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) looking
unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that
was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at
the right hand of the throne of God.
I have said it before and I am
going to say it again, It is time that we stand up to the situations and
circumstances in our lives and tell them how big our GOD IS!!!
For way too long, we have allowed our problems to dictate to us and tell us how
we are supposed to feel. We have let
them overwhelm us and freak us out!!!
Instead of feeling overwhelmed, we need to remember to tell our
problems, how big our GOD IS!!!
Psalm 121:1-8 (KJV)
121 I will lift up mine eyes
unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My
help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.
3 He
will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold,
he that keepeth Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The
Lord
is thy keeper: the Lord
is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The
sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The
Lord
shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The
Lord
shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even
for evermore.
Once we learn to stay focused on GOD and NOT our problems, we will have the most wonderful PEACE!!!
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
GOD doesn’t want us to worry or fret over our circumstances!!! He wants us to have HIS PEACE!!! When we learn NOT to be anxious and worried, but to turn everything over to HIM, we will find that we are no longer easily rattled or easily disturbed!!! That’s when we have HIS PEACE!!! And we learn to keep HIS PEACE within us.
John 14:1 (KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
