What does this phrase mean???
When we truly want God’s Will for our lives, we seek HIM!!! We spend time with HIM!!! We seek to please HIM, and to do HIS WILL!!! We honor Him!!! We worship and praise HIM!!!
When we do these things, then WE ARE SEEKING GOD’S FACE!!! WE WANT TO KNOW GOD’S PERFECT WILL FOR OUR LIVES!!! WE WANT TO KNOW THAT GOD IS PLEASED WITH US!!!
When we spend time with God, we are NOT supposed to always do ALL the talking!!! We are supposed to listen for HIS VOICE!!! Sometimes, we need to just sit and wait for HIM to speak!!!
IF WE LISTEN, GOD WILL SPEAK TO US!!!
Sometimes, it will be right then and there!!! At other times, God will begin to talk while you are driving or mowing the lawn!!! God may speak to you through someone else or through a scripture!!! You may hear HIS Voice in a song, OR DEEP IN YOUR SOUL!!!
BUT GOD WILL INDEED SPEAK TO THOSE WHO TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN FOR HIS VOICE!!!
So, what does it mean to SEEK HIS HANDS and NOT HIS FACE???
It means to spend time telling God what you need, and expecting to get ALL those things that YOU NEED, but NOT listening for HIS VOICE!!!
Many times folks will say that they pray, but that they NEVER hear from God!!! And to be truthful, I often wonder if God can get a word in edgewise when they are praying???
Spending time with God is always “a 2 way street.” Real Communication is GIVE AND TAKE!!!
If we never give God anything, but our problems, then we are NOT really communicating with HIM!!!
I can just imagine God sitting there in Heaven saying, “SHUT UP ALREADY!!!” But of course, God is NOT like me, and HE WOULD NOT SAY THAT!!!!
I, myself, love to talk!!! But what good does it do to talk, if there is no one who really wants to listen???

But HE WANTS US TO LEAVE ALL OUR BURDENS WITH HIM!!! AND HE WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM!!! And when you are done with telling GOD ALL your troubles, then it is time to just relax, dry your eyes and sit there quietly and listen for HIS VOICE!!!

Maybe now God wants to wrap HIS ARMS around you and show you HIS LOVE!!! MAYBE HE WANTS TO CRADLE YOU IN HIS ARMS AND COMFORT YOU AND GIVE YOU HIS PEACE!!!!
John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
I truly think that we forget that GOD is OUR FATHER!!! HE IS the ultimate FATHER!!!
Every man is made in the image of God and every Father should look at God as the example of how they should love their kids!!!
Genesis 1:27 (NKJV) So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
As our Father, God wants what is best for us!!!
And YES, we can expect HIS BLESSINGS, when we do as THE WORD says!!! But we do NOT serve God for HIS blessings!!!
WE DO NOT SEEK HIS HANDS!!! We do NOT seek what HE can do for us!!! We do NOT follow after Him for riches, and blessings!!!
WE SERVE GOD BECAUSE WE LOVE HIM!!!!
WE SEEK HIS FACE!!! We seek HIS PERFECT WILL FOR OUR LIVES!!!! WE WANT HIM TO BE PLEASED WITH US!!! We seek to do HIS WILL!!!
We want to know that God is smiling down upon us because HE IS PLEASED WITH US!!!
