Meddling…

What does it mean when a person is meddling in someone else’s business?


Meddling means to interfere in or busy oneself with something that is not your concern. 


What does GOD say about meddling?


GOD says that we should NOT be meddling in other people’s business. 


1 Peter 4:15 (WEB) For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil doer, or a meddler in other men’s matters.


GOD says that meddling is wrong and that foolish folks meddle in other people’s business.


2 Thessalonians 3:11 (AMP) Indeed, we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined and inappropriate life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies [meddling in other people’s business].


Proverbs 20:3 (KJV) …every fool will be meddling.


Instead of meddling, we are supposed to be praying!!!  If you see or hear something that YOU THINK isn’t right, don’t run around telling everyone else!!!


If you do that, then you are gossiping!!! 


1 Timothy 5:13 (NKJV) …not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.


Proverbs 20:19 (AMP) He who goes about as a gossip reveals secrets; Therefore do not associate with a gossip [who talks freely or flatters].


Go to GOD and tell HIM what you saw or heard!!!  GOD can and HE will handle it!!!  And HE doesn’t need your help!!!  Turn it over to GOD and allow HIM to give you PEACE over the issue!!! 


Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)

⁶ Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

⁷ and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.


There is NOTHING; NO NOT ONE THING THAT GOD CAN’T TAKE CARE!!!  GOD IS BIG ENOUGH to take care of anything that concerns you!!!   


Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV) Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?


If someone wants you to know their business, they will tell it to you!!!


When most people ask your opinion, they really don’t want it!!!  They just want to justify what they have already decided to do!!!  And they are hoping that you will agree with them!!!


I can’t tell you how many times, I have heard one person or another say, I don’t know why they asked for my opinion, they don’t want to hear it!!!


And it is the truth!!! 


So, it is truly better to MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!


There is an old song that says it all!!!  It is called Sweep Around Your Own Front Porch!  Here is the chorus and first verse.
