The Blood of Jesus

As I read the scriptures and wondered what to write, these words came to my mind.  They are from a song called, Oh, The Blood Of Jesus.  

Oh, the Blood of Jesus!
Oh, the Blood of Jesus!
Oh, the Blood of Jesus!
It will never lose Its power.

As I hunted for the complete words, I found many songs about THE BLOOD of JESUS.  The words below are from the song, Nothing, but The Blood of Jesus!!!  

What can wash away my sin?

I must tell you that none of the lyrics or videos sounded exactly like what we sang in church, but does that really matter??  No, of course not, that is NOT the point!!!

The point is this!!!  THE BLOOD OF JESUS WILL NEVER LOSE ITS POWER!!! 

Jesus died to save us from our sins and yes, from the devil!!!  He died to redeem us meaning that HE BOUGHT US!!!  That HE PAID THE PRICE!!!

1 Corinthians 6:20 (KJV)  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

 

And THE BLOOD THAT HE SHED FOR US IS AS GOOD TODAY AS IT WAS THAT DAY AT THE CROSS!!!!  When I say good, I mean exactly that!!!  It doesn’t have an expiration date!!!    

Jesus shed HIS BLOOD to redeem us then and IT STILL HAS THE SAME REDEEMING POWER TODAY!!!!  THE SAME POWER THAT IT HAD THAT DAY AT CALVARY!!!

Hebrews 9:14 (NKJV) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:28 (KJV) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 10:12-14 (CEV)

¹²But Christ offered himself as a sacrifice that is good forever. Now he is sitting at God's right side,

¹³and he will stay there until his enemies are put under his power.

¹⁴By his one sacrifice he has forever set free from sin the people he brings to God.

Colossians 3:1 (CEV) You have been raised to life with Christ. Now set your heart on what is in heaven, where Christ rules at God's right side.
