The Word for your cell phone

I have the WORD on my cell phone and you can, too!!!

I really enjoy being able to find a scripture when I want to and read it on my phone, especially in places like the lunchroom at work where my regular Bible might get spilled on or stained.  Also, since it doesn't take up much space, it is great when there really isn't room to spread out all my study materials!!!

I downloaded both of my apps from BlackBerry App World, so I can only point you to these websites!!!  But since I already have the apps, I can tell you just a little about them and how I use them.

I am sure there are also other Bible Apps out there, but these are the 2 that I use.  Actually, I did download another Bible app, but after I started using these 2 apps, I never used it, so I deleted it!!!

Here are the 2 Bible apps that I have on my BlackBerry.

OliveTree BibleReader4
I have been using the BibleReader for a couple of years now.  When I first started hunting for a Bible to load on my phone, BibleReader was one of the few available!!!

This app actually downloads the Bible on your phone.  My phone has to have a memory card for all downloads.  I found that having this downloaded to my memory card was very nice for when I changed phones.

The settings on this app, including the print size are adjustable.  There also several other features on the BibleReader.  It has a search feature.  It includes a Library so that you download other Bibles and books to read.

One great thing about this Bible is that you don't pay data charges to read this it!!!  Once it is on your phone, it is yours!!!

After you go to this site, look for the tab that says, "Mobile Bibles."  I saw several Bibles that the site said were free to download.  Mind you, I have never used this site.  I am going to check it out when I more have time!!!

YouVersion.com
I just started using the YouVersion Bible in July!!!  (At first, I couldn't get my BibleReader to reload the King James Version because I didn't realize it was still on my memory card.  My BlackBerry knew that and it refused to download it again.)  That being said, I found this Bible.  And once I downloaded it, I could read it immediately!!!  I was thrilled!!!

So, let me tell you what I found that I can do with this Bible!!!  I can text scriptures to friends.  This Bible lets me select the verse or verses, and copy them into a txt message.  I just love that!!!  It is also searchable.  It will allow you to set up a Reading Plan by letting you set a time each day to read your Bible.  You’ll have to check this out because I haven’t used it!!!

At the top of this site, there is a place to click on mobile.  From there, it lists all sort of phones!!!  I clicked on BlackBerry, and these words came up:  From your mobile device, go to... youversion.com/download

Well, folks!!!  Happy downloading!!!  I have got to tell a friend of mine about these sites, because she is wanting to download the Bible on her phone!!!
