Will you settle for something less???

Will you wait on what God has promised you or will you settle for less than the best???

Sarah knew that God has promised to make Abraham, the father of many nations.  God had even changed Abram's name to Abraham.  God showed Abraham the stars and told him that his descendents would be just as the stars were, too many to count!!!  Gen. 15:5-6

But when the wait became too long for Sarah and when the promise did NOT come to pass quickly enough to suit her, Sarah decided to help GOD out.  She decided NOT to wait any longer.

So, to get a child, she gave Hagar, her Egyptian handmaiden to Abraham, her husband to be his 2nd wife.  Gen. 16:1-4

Abraham and Hagar had a son named Ishmael, but when the Lord appeared to again Abraham, HE said that Ishmael was NOT the son that HE had promised to Abraham.  Gen. 16:9-16

God came to Abraham to let him know that HE had NOT forgotten His promise to them.  HE would give Abraham, a son by his wife, Sarah.

Genesis 17:15-22 (NKJV)

15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. 16 And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.”

17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?” 18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!”

19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

21
But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.” 22 Then He finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

God’s Timing is perfect!!!  He knows exactly when and where things need to happen for us to be blessed!!!  And more importantly, HE knows how we need to be blessed and what will be a blessing and what WILL NOT be a blessing!!!

When we try to do things in our own time and in our own way, we create messes!!!
We create unwanted problems for ourselves and others!!

I have seen Christians, both men and women, find a mate who seemed to be a wonderful Christian person.  I watched several of them get married, only to later separate because the man or woman they married was NOT who they seemed to be.

And I found myself wondering what happened to the mate that God was sending them.  You cannot marry the one God wants you to marry, if you are entangled with another.

Had any of these folks asked God, HE would have told them NOT to marry that person.

I asked God once about marrying a fellow who looked mighty good and treated me really well.  God said for me to wait.  And sure enough as nice as that fellow was, I began to see that he wasn’t for me.  THANK YOU LORD for saving me from myself!!!

We must remember that old saying, ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD!!!  People are NOT always what they seem!!!

It may NOT be that a person is bad or anything, but just because that person is saved, doesn’t mean that they are for you!!!

And then there are the wolves in sheep’s clothing!!!  Those folks mean you no good!!!  And what about those hound dogs!!!  If that hound is always hunting, what makes you think you can make him or her stop???

ALL I am trying to tell you is to ASK GOD WHAT HE THINKS!!!!  Then be careful and watchful when HE begins to talk because HE will show you about people, problems or other situations!!

We should know by now that God sees and knows everything!!!  HE knows what is going on behind the scenes.  Gen. 19:13  And HE tells us that ALL things will be revealed.

Mark 4:22 (NKJV) For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.

Sometimes, we try to help others out without first seeking GOD, and HE will show us that HE is trying to work with them, but we are getting in HIS WAY!!!

GOD actually told a friend of mine that every time He got a certain person to the place where that person needed HIS HELP, my friend was stepping in and providing for her, and then she had no need to ask GOD for help!!!

I once had a friend that borrowed money from me every payday and he would always pay it back as soon as he got paid.  God began to deal with me about this situation and HE told me that I was NOT supposed to be this person’s provider. (And he reminded me of my friend above and that situation.)

So, when this same friend asked me to borrow money to buy tires, saying he would pay it back on payday, I told him that I would ask God.  And you ought to have seen the look on his face.

When it was time for me to go home, I walked out to my truck.  As I started past his car and God told me to look at his tires, so I did.  Then God told me to look at my tires and I did.

Would you like to know what I saw?????

I saw that his tires did NOT look any worse than my tires looked!!!  So, if I was going to spend money for tires for someone, it was obvious that I needed to buy them for my own truck.

I wonder how many times we pull a SARAH???  And decide NOT to wait on God!!!  How many times do we do what we want to do and never even ask God what HE thinks.  I wonder how many times, we mess up what God has planned for us???

When we wait on God we will truly be blessed!!!  And He will give us ALL that He has promised.

Isaac was a man, called of God and I think if we could ask Sarah, she would say that she should have waited for this blessed child from GOD!!!

Are your promises worth the wait???

I KNOW MINE ARE!!!

Who’s in Control of Your Life???

Are you in control of your life???  Or is God???

Do you take out time to find out what GOD’S WILL IS FOR YOUR LIFE???

Or do you only call on Him when you have made a mess of things?

I once heard Joyce Meyer explain that it is okay to make plans for our life, but then we must submit those plans to GOD!!!  I am not sure if she said it exactly that way, but those are the words that God gave me!!!

It is really like most anything we do.  When we plan a project at work, we have to submit our plans to the boss to be approved before we can move forward.

If we want to start a business, we have to submit our plans to the zoning board.  If we want to build a house in town, we have to submit our plans to the city to be approved, and the building inspector has to come out to inspect the work.

When we make vacation plans, we have to get approval to be off.

We ALL know that whoever is in charge has the final say-so, or the right to approve of our plans or tell us to change them.

SO, WHY DO WE THINK THAT IT SHOULD BE ANY DIFFERENT WITH GOD???

If we allow God to have the final say-so in our lives and in ALL our plans, we would be so pleasantly surprised!!!

Our lives would NOT be a mess!!!  Things would run so much smoother than we ever thought possible!!!

Is. 45:2 (NKJV) I will go before you And make the crooked places straight…

God once allowed me to experience this in real life!!!

I turned down a road that took me in the wrong direction and it became very rough and bumpy.  It was hard to even drive down this road because it was so rough.  As I continued to try to drive down that road, it bounced me ALL around in my truck.

However, when I finally turned around and went the right direction, the road smoothed out before me and the farther I drove the smoother the road became!!!

It was a truly amazing experience!!!

The Lord said to me that day that when I refused to listen to HIM and went the wrong way, my life became rough and very difficult to manage, but when I turned toward HIM and traveled in the right direction, HE MADE THAT SAME ROUGH ROAD SMOOTH BEFORE ME!!!

Don't get me wrong!!!  God isn't saying that we will never have any problems when we walk with HIM!!!

But HE is saying that HE will go before us to make our ways smooth.

There are so many times in The Word that people messed up and did things their own way and expected God to bless them, but there was one that stood out in my mind.

And that was Abraham and Sarah.

Sarah decided that she would have children through her Egyptian servant.  She gave Hagar to Abraham to be his wife!!!

The passage below it tells us of the promise that God made to Abram.

Genesis 15:4-6  4And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

5And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

6And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

18In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates…

But then instead of waiting on God for that that HE promised, they did it their own way!!!  And they made a mess!!!

You know, we are still dealing with the mess that they made today!!!

Genesis 16 (KJV)

1Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.

2And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

3And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife.

4And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.

Me And God

I really love this song!!!

Listen to these words.  They mean a lot to me and they are so true!!!  There isn’t anything that I can’t go through or any problem that MY GOD can’t solve!!!

And sometimes, it really is, JUST ME AND GOD!!!

It’s good to have prayer partners and friends, but sometimes you just have to get alone with GOD!!!  He is always there for you, even when those friends can’t be!!!

He’s NEVER TOO BUSY!!!  And HE holds the world in HIS HAND!!!  Nothing’s too big for GOD!!!

If I didn’t have God, I wouldn’t have anything!!!  And yes, I am going to say, WE’RE A TEAM, ME AND GOD!!!  WE’RE LIKE 2 PEAS IN A POD, ME AND GOD!!!

CAUSE HE’S MY FATHER; HE’S MY FRIEND; HE’S MY GOD!!!

If you really want to know where God is, just look around you!!!  You find HIM because He is there!!!  HE IS THERE!!!

HE IS JUST WAITING ON YOU TO LOOK FOR HIM!!!  HE IS JUST WAITING FOR YOU TO CRY OUT TO HIM!!!

When you no longer know what to do or if you are just feelin’ blue, just cry out to GOD, because he is there!!!  He is waiting for you!!!

He’ll pick you up when you are down!

When you give up; when you can’t go any further by yourself; when you come to the end of yourself, you’ll find GOD!!!

Here are the words to Me And God.

Me and God
Josh Turner with Ralph Stanley

There ain't nothing that can't be done
By me and God
Ain't nobody come between me and God
One day we'll live together
Where the angels trod
Me and God

Early in the morning talkin’ it over
Me and God
Late at night talkin’ it over
Me and God
You could say we’re like two peas in a pod
Me and God

He's my Father
He's my friend
The beginning
And the end
He rules the world
With a staff and rod
We're a team
Me and God

I am weak and He is strong
Me and God
He forgives me when I'm wrong
Me and God
He's the one I lean on
When life gets hard
Me and God

He's my Father
He's my friend
The beginning
And the end
He rules the world
With a staff and rod
We're a team
Me and God

He rules the world
With a staff and rod
We're a team
Me and God

We're a team
Me and God

Renew Me, Oh Lord!

Sometimes, we just need a touch from the Lord.  We just need to be renewed and restored!!! And I am not talking about needing to rededicate our lives, but about needing a refreshing!!!

David speaks these words in Psalm 51:10-12, and 17.

Psalm 51:10-12 (KJV)

10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Psalm 51:17 (KJV)

17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Then I found this song by Martha Munizzi and it seemed perfect!!!

Renew Me

Chorus:
Renew me
Remake me
Create in me a clean heart oh God
Restore me
Transform me
Create in me a clean heart oh God

Verse I

Change my heart oh Lord
I'm broken before you now
Take me as I am
Receive this sacrifice

(Repeat Chorus 3xs)

(Repeat Verse I)

Let this be your praise

(Repeat Chorus 3xs)

(Repeat Verse I)

(Repeat Chorus 3xs)

Change me, change me, change me
Change me, change me, change me
Create in me a clean heart oh God
(repeat 3xs)

Renew a right spirit
Renew a right spirit within me
Change me, change me, change me

Cause I need you
Every hour
Every day
Change me, change me, change me

Whatever is wrong in me
Take it out of me
Make me right before you
Change me, change me, change me

I just want to be right before you
Just want to be right before you
Change me, change me, change me

Cause I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you Lord to change me
Change me, change me, change me

Only You can change me
Only You can change my heart
Change me, change me, change me

Change my heart, Change my heart
Change me, change me, change me
Ask the Lord change me, change me

Don't cast me away from your presence
Renew a right spirit within me
Cause my heart is broken before you
I bow down before you
(Repeat 3xs)

Don't cast me away from your presence

Renew a right sprit within me
Cause my heart is broken before you
I bow down before you in worship
Don't cast me away

Don't cast me away

Don't cast me away
Don't take your presence from me Lord
Don't take your presence
Don't cast me away

Change us, change us, change us,

From the inside out
Don't cast me away
No, no, no don't cast me away
Don't cast me away from your presence

Renew a right spirit within me

Cause my heart is broken before you
I bow down (I bow down) before you
Yeah don't cast me away
don't cast me away from your presence
Make me right before you
Make me clean
Cause my heart is broken before you
I bow down in worship.

He calls me friend!!

I am a friend of God.  He calls me friend!!!!

The song above is being performed by Phillips, Craig, and Dean.

I am a friend of God
I am a friend of God

We Can Get to Know God!!!

The words, “Prepare in me a clean heart,” came to my mind as I asked the Lord what I should read or study today.

When I searched for these words, here is the scripture that I found.

Psalm 51:10 (KJV)  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

This is how the New King James Version introduces chapter 51.

Psalm 51 (NKJV)

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

1 Have mercy upon me, O God,
         According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
         Blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.

4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak,
         And blameless when You judge.

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.

6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.

9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
         The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

 16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

 18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
         Build the walls of Jerusalem.

19 Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
         With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

I am somewhat mystified at how well David knew God and understood God’s heart toward men!!!

And then again, why should I be mystified that David knew God so well?  Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened.  Aren’t these very words written in the scriptures??

Matthew 7:7-11 (KJV)

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

God lets us know in HIS WORD, even in the words above, that if we seek HIM, we shall find HIM!!!

We can go as far in God as we want.  We can learn as much and get to know as much about HIM as we want.

There are examples ALL over the Bible of the men that walked with God and knew HIM intimately.

We can read in Ex 33:9-11 how God talked to Moses face to face, but we find that God was in the midst of the cloudy pillar and that Moses could NOT actually see HIM.

Ex. 33:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.

In verse 18-23, we read that Moses asks to see God’s glory.  God explains to Moses that he cannot see HIS face and live, but that he can see God’s back as God walks by HIM.  And God covers Moses with HIS HAND and as HE passes by HE allows Moses to see HIS back.

And look at Enoch.  Genesis 5:24 (AMP) 24And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].

So, why would David, a man after God’s own heart be any different?  As we read what David says to The Lord in verse 10-12, we find that David is repenting to the Lord and he is asking The Lord to be merciful.

But even more important than that, David is asking The Lord to help him be right in his heart and get his mind straight.  David is seeking The Lord for help in order to keep his mind and heart focused on GOD!!!

Psalm 51
(NKJV)

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

David recognizes that God will NOT accept a sacrifice as penance (a sign of his sorrow for the sin he committed.)  For God ONLY accepts a repentant and truly sorrowful heart!!!

Psalm 51 (NKJV)

 16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

Just like David, and Enoch, and Moses, if we want to know God, we can!!!

WE CAN GET TO KNOW GOD!!!

WE WILL FIND GOD, IF WE SEEK HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isaiah 55:6 (AMP)

6Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near.

Could God really be telling us to be thankful in ALL things???

We know that God wants us to trust HIM in ALL things!!!  And that may seem hard to some folks-to trust Him in the good and the bad!!!

But to be thankful in ALL things???  Whoa!!!  Does the Bible really say that??  YES!!!  Yes, it does!!!

1 Thessalonians 5: 18 (KJV)

18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5: 18(AMP)

18Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Does this seem to be a little hard to swallow???

IN EVERY THING GIVE THANKS!!!

So, I had to really think about this!!!

And I wondered if I really give thanks in every thing.  And I wondered if I could honestly answer, yes.

Now as I look at this, I realized that GOD is NOT saying give thanks FOR every thing!!!  Rather, this verse says IN EVERY THING GIVE THANKS!!!

So, I don’t have to say, I thank you Lord that I wrecked my truck.  But I can be thankful that even though I wrecked my truck, I was NOT seriously injured!!!

And I can be thankful that although my truck is old, I don’t have truck payments.

I can be thankful that although my truck broke down on the freeway, it did NOT break down in the middle of a hot day, and it did NOT break down on my first day of work while I was headed to my new job.

I CAN TRUST IN GOD IN EVERY SITUATION!!!

AND IN EVERY THING, I CAN GIVE THANKS!!!

So, I ask you, “Do you give thanks in every thing???"

Think about it!!!

Did I miss God today? Or did I just miss out???

So many things happened today.  Some were good and some were better, I wonder why?

So many times, I have seen God’s divine intervention!!!  I have seen HIM move for me over and over again!  I have seen Him make a way where there seemed to be no way!!!

Could it be because I did NOT ask the Lord what I should do today?  Could it be because I did NOT seek HIM for HIS PERFECT WILL?

Could it be because I was in a hurry?  Or was it because I was afraid of what HE would say or tell me to do?  Was I afraid that HE would NOT give me the answer that I wanted?

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

He made a way for me today despite my own actions or inaction, I might say.  And I am so blessed!!!

DID I MISS GOD TODAY?  OR DID I JUST MISS OUT???

Good Report or Evil Report

Do we trust GOD enough to give a Good Report???  Do we trust God enough to say what HE says in HIS WORD (even when our circumstances don’t look good)???

For some time now on my blog, we’ve been talking about trusting in GOD completely.  The Lord began to speak to me about trusting HIM completely.  HE said that what we say is directly related to how much we really trust in HIM!!!

Whether we realize it or will even acknowledge it, what we really think and feel is hidden in the deepest parts of our heart.  And when we talk, what we think and feel comes right out of our mouths.  For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. Luke 6:45

Luke 6:45 (CEV) Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts. Bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts.

While the things of God are at times so simple, we ALL know that life isn’t simple!!!  We ALL wish it could be, but it isn’t!!!

And so it is NOT a matter of whether we trust God or NOT, but rather do we trust HIM for this particular situation, here and now!!!  Do we have the FAITH to believe that GOD WILL BRING US THROUGH THIS SITUATION AND PROVIDE FOR US IN THIS SITUATION???

You see, some folks have the FAITH to believe and trust in The LORD to heal them.  They actually walk in Divine Healing, but then they worry that their lights will get cut off because their FAITH does NOT extend to finances!!!

And of course, there are those who have FAITH that God will pay ALL their bills and always make a way for them to buy groceries, but when their throat hurts, they immediately say that they are sick!!!  These folks are walking in Divine Wealth, but NOT Divine Health.

God will meet us at our FAITH, but He would rather that WE HAVE FAITH IN HIM FOR ALL AREAS!!!  GOD WANTS US TO HAVE FAITH ACCORDING TO HIS WORD FOR ALL AREAS!!!

3 John 1:2 (NKJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

There are many areas in which we should trust The Lord!!!  And there are ALL kinds of areas for us to believe for!!!  Unless we know what the WORD says, we do not know what we are supposed to believe or have FAITH for!!!

Hosea 4: 6 (KJV) My people perish from a lack of knowledge.

I love to listen to Kenneth Copeland preach!!!  And I love to hear him share the things that God has told him.  God told him once many years ago that knowing what the Bible says makes FAITH EASY!!!

So, I say to you today, believe what THE BOOK SAYS and SAY WHAT THE BOOK SAYS!!!

If you want to hear from God read HIS WORD!!!  HIS WORD tells you ALL about HIM!!! IT tells you how HE thinks, and feels!!!  It tells you what HE SAYS!!!

Make sure that your words line up with HIS WORD!!!  AND ALWAYS SAY WHAT GOD SAYS!!!

Before the children of Israel ever left Egypt; before God drowned Pharaoh and the Egyptian army in the Red Sea, this is what God had told Moses.

Exodus 33:1-3

1And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

2And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

3Unto a land flowing with milk and honey…

GOD HAD ALREADY PROMISED THEM THIS LAND AND HERE HE SAYS, I WILL SEND AN ANGEL TO DRIVE OUT THE PEOPLE OF THE LAND BEFORE YOU!!

And when they got to the land that God had promised them, he told Moses to send out 12 spies, one leader from each of the 12 tribes.

And this is the report that they brought back to Moses and the people.

Numbers 13 (KJV)

27And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

28Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

29The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

Caleb speaks in FAITH!!!  He speaks good words; encouraging words!!!  HE GIVES A GOOD REPORT!!!  CALEB SAYS HERE WHAT GOD HAD ALREADY TOLD THEM!!!

30And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

But the men (the other 10 spies) that were with Joshua and Caleb, spoke IN FEAR!!!  They did not speak in faith!!!  FEAR IS THE OPPOSITE OF FAITH!!!

GOD SAYS THAT THE WORDS THAT THESE 10 MEN SPOKE WERE EVIL.  HE SAYS THAT THEY BROUGHT UP AN EVIL REPORT!!!

31But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

32And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

Do you see in verse 33, that the problem wasn’t with the people in the land, but in how the children of Israel chose to look upon themselves?  THEY CHOSE FEAR OVER FAITH!!!

Numbers 13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

This is what the Lord said about the children of Israel after they refused to trust in Him and obey HIM; after they refused to walk in FAITH!!!

Numbers 14 (KJV)

 22Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;

23Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:

Here is what happened to the children of Israel because they believed the evil words that were spoken instead of believing in GOD!!!

Numbers 14

34After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

35I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

36And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,

37Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.

GOD honored those men of FAITH; Joshua and Caleb; those men that brought the GOOD REPORT!!!

Numbers 14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

Just as today, those that walked in FAITH obtained the GOOD PROMISES of GOD!!!

Numbers 14:24:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.

Are your words an EVIL REPORT in GOD’s EYES???

OR ARE YOU GIVING A GOOD REPORT??  Are the words you speak, GOOD FAITH-FILLED WORDS SHOWING HOW MUCH YOU BELIEVE IN GOD??
