GOD Knew You Weren't Perfect!!!

Don’t you know that God knows exactly who you are!!!  He knows what you have done and what you are going to do.  He knew when HE called you, what your flaws were and what mistakes you would make.

And HE loved you and He called you, anyway!!!

Even King David-A Man after God’s own heart-was NOT perfect.  Acts 13:22

After God established David as King of Israel, He sinned before God and had to repent.

Here's how it ALL began!  His first mistake was to stay home instead of going off to war like ALL the kings did at that time of year.

Then when he went out on the roof and saw a woman bathing, he did NOT look away.  That was his second mistake.  That’s when he should have turned away, went back inside his house, and started praying!!!

How many time do we have things going on in our heads, but we do NOT take them to GOD???  Many times we know that we should pray, but we don’t!

That is the biggest mistake we can ever make!!!  When we do not inquire or seek the Lord in every situation, then we are NOT being pleasing to HIM and we are NOT showing GOD that we trust HIM completely with every situation!!!

And we are falling right into the trap that the devil has set for us!!!

When David did NOT ask The Lord for help, he made mistake number 3.  And he began to lust after this woman, Bathsheba, who belonged to another man.

And because he kept thinking about her and lusting after her, he made mistake #4 by deciding that he had to have her.  So, that led to another mistake and he took her to bed and she got pregnant!!!

So, here he had a dilemma!!!  He had not only taken another man’s wife, but he had gotten her pregnant.

So, what did he do???  Well, he tried to hide it, of course.  That is the normal reaction, isn’t it?  To lie, cheat and steal!!!  To hide your wrongdoing!!

Well, if you belong to God, and David belonged to GOD, then NO!!!!

And if he had sought God at anytime during ALL this, he would have ended up better off!!!

So, what did David do next?  He sent for her husband who had been in the battle thinking that the man would come home and sleep with his wife.  So, when she began “to show,” the man would think the baby was his own and ALL WOULD BE WELL!!!

But Uriah slept outside the King’s house ALL night long and did not go to his own house or into his wife!!!  So, the next night, David got him drunk and still he did not go home.

So, did David admit his mistake??  No, instead he had Uriah killed!!

You can read ALL of what I am telling you and more in 2 Samuel 11.

God reveals David’s sin to the
prophet, Nathan, in 2 Samuel 12.  Then, NOT only David, but others had to suffer because of his actions.  There were many consequences to David’s actions, but God still loved him!!!

God never stopped loving David, even when he was displeased with him.  And when David repented God was very pleased with him and LOVED HIM ALL THE MORE!!!

I want you to know, that God sees everything you have ever done and HE loves you!!!

He knows exactly who you are and even more so, HE SEES WHO YOU WILL BECOME!!!  If you strive to please God, HE will raise you up and make you greater than you ever thought possible!!!

Can you imagine David out singing to The Lord and tending sheep?  Can you see him killing the lion and the bear?  Could you look at him and see that one day, God would raise him up to be King?

From a little shepherd boy tending his father’s flocks to a Mighty Man of War beloved by all the people, to the King of Israel, a man feared by ALL nations because God had made his name great!!!  1 Chron. 14:17

God gets ALL the HONOR and ALL the GLORY!!!  GOD raised David up from a shepherd boy to make him, King of Israel!!!

That’s why it doesn’t matter what other people think, as long as you please God!!!  As long as what you do pleases HIM, then you have it made!!!  No man or woman has a Heaven or a Hell to put you in!!!

So, strive to please The Lord God Almighty in ALL YOUR WAYS!!!  And know, that if God is pleased (happy) with you, then you have done well!!!

And one day, YOU WILL HEAR HIM SAY, "WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!!!"  Mt. 25:23
