GOD WILL ALWAYS BLESS THOSE THAT BLESS HIS CHILDREN!!!


Have you ever heard how God used the prophet, Elisha to bless the Shunammite woman and her husband in??? 

2 Kings 4:8-37 (AMP)

 

    1NOW THE wife of a son of the prophets cried to Elisha, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. But the creditor has come to take my two sons to be his slaves.

    2Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.

    3Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels--and not a few.

    4And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full.

    5So she went from him and shut the door upon herself and her sons, who brought to her the vessels as she poured the oil.

    6When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying.

    7Then she came and told the man of God. He said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.

    8One day Elisha went on to Shunem, where a rich and influential woman lived, who insisted on his eating a meal. Afterward, whenever he passed by, he stopped there for a meal.

    9And she said to her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God who passes by continually.

    10Let us make a small chamber on the [housetop] and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp. Then whenever he comes to us, he can go [up the outside stairs and rest] here.

    11One day he came and turned into the chamber and lay there.

    12And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. When he had called her, she stood before him.

    13And he said to Gehazi, Say now to her, You have been most painstakingly and reverently concerned for us; what is to be done for you? Would you like to be spoken for to the king or to the commander of the army? She answered, I dwell among my own people [they are sufficient].

    14Later Elisha said, What then is to be done for her? Gehazi answered, She has no child and her husband is old.

    15He said, Call her. [Gehazi] called her, and she stood in the doorway.

    16Elisha said, At this season when the time comes round, you shall embrace a son. She said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your handmaid.

    17But the woman conceived and bore a son at that season the following year, as Elisha had said to her.

    18When the child had grown, he went out one day to his father with the reapers.

    19But he said to his father, My head, my head! The man said to his servant, Carry him to his mother.

    20And when he was brought to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

    21And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him and went out.

    22And she called to her husband and said, Send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may go quickly to the man of God and come back again.

    23And he said, Why go to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath. And she said, It will be all right.

    24Then she saddled the donkey and said to her servant, Ride fast; do not slacken your pace for me unless I tell you.

    25So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel. When the man of God saw her afar off, he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite.

    26Run to meet her and say, Is it well with you? Well with your husband? Well with the child? And she answered, It is well.

    27When she came to the mountain to the man of God, she clung to his feet. Gehazi came to thrust her away, but the man of God said, Let her alone, for her soul is bitter and vexed within her, and the Lord has hid it from me and has not told me.

    28Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? Did I not say, Do not deceive me?

    29Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins and take my staff in your hand and go lay my staff on the face of the child. If you meet any man, do not salute him. If he salutes you, do not answer him.

    30The mother of the child said, As the Lord lives and as my soul lives, I will not leave you. And he arose and followed her.

    31Gehazi passed on before them and laid the staff on the child's face, but the boy neither spoke nor heard. So he went back to meet Elisha and said to him, The child has not awakened.

    32When Elisha arrived in the house, the child was dead and laid upon his bed.

    33So he went in, shut the door on the two of them, and prayed to the Lord.

    34He went up and lay on the child, put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. And as he stretched himself on him and embraced him, the child's flesh became warm.

    35Then he returned and walked in the house to and fro and went up again and stretched himself upon him. And the child sneezed seven times, and then opened his eyes.

    36Then [Elisha] called Gehazi and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she came, he said, Take up your son.

    37She came and fell at his feet, bowing herself to the ground. Then she took up her son and went out.


1 Kings 17:1-16 (AMP)

 

    1ELIJAH THE Tishbite, of the temporary residents of Gilead, said to Ahab, As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, before Whom I stand, there shall not be dew or rain these years but according to My word.

    2And the word of the Lord came to him, saying,

    3Go from here and turn east and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan.

    4You shall drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.

    5So he did according to the word of the Lord; he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, east of the Jordan.

    6And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning and bread and flesh in the evening, and he drank of the brook.

    7After a while the brook dried up because there was no rain in the land.

    8And the word of the Lord came to him:

    9Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.

    10So he arose and went to Zarephath. When he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her, Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

    11As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.

    12And she said, As the Lord your God lives, I have not a loaf baked but only a handful of meal in the jar and a little oil in the bottle. See, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and bake it for me and my son, that we may eat it--and die.

    13Elijah said to her, Fear not; go and do as you have said. But make me a little cake of [it] first and bring it to me, and afterward prepare some for yourself and your son.

    14For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: The jar of meal shall not waste away or the bottle of oil fail until the day that the Lord sends rain on the earth.

    15She did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days.

    16The jar of meal was not spent nor did the bottle of oil fail, according to the word which the Lord spoke through Elijah.


These are just 2 of the many incidents that were recorded in The WORD of God, as an example to us.  They show us that when we bless the man or woman of God and provide for him or her, God will make sure that we are taken care of and that our needs are met!!!


Philippians 4:10-20 (TNIV)

 10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.


 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.  12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.  14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.

 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;  16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.

 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.  

18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

 20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 


In the CEV it says, Phil. 4:17 I am not trying to get something from you, but I want you to receive the blessings that come from giving.



2 Corinthians 9:7 (CEV) Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give. But don't feel sorry that you must give and don't feel that you are forced to give. God loves people who love to give.

2 Corinthians 9:7 (CEB) Everyone should give whatever they have decided in their heart. They shouldn’t give with hesitation or because of pressure. God loves a cheerful giver.


Deuteronomy 15:10 (TNIV) Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.



Luke 6:38 (KJV)  Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
