I know that many of us feel so blessed during the Christmas season and the holidays each year, but for many others, this is a lonely time of the year.
There are many who have no family and very few friends! And then again, maybe they do have family and friends, but still they feel VERY alone!!!
As God’s children, I know that HE wants us to be watchful and mindful of those around us.
Many of these folks would love to have some company or maybe an invitation to share a meal with you!!!
Let’s be truthful!!! What is one more at the table this Christmas, New Year or any other time for that matter???
Maybe we can help someone get through the holidays just this once, or even develop a lasting friendship with them!!!
And who knows, maybe next year, they can provide you with some Christmas Cheer!!!
TO TOUCH A LIFE IS TO CHANGE IT FOREVER!!!
To share a meal is NOT only to feed a hungry belly, but to encourage a soul!!!
To share a meal is NOT only to feed a hungry belly, but to encourage a soul!!!
We can touch people’s lives in so many ways!!! We can share a smile or even cry with someone. We can let someone share their problems with us and by doing so share their burdens.
Sometimes folks just need to see a friendly face and be given a helping hand.
Whether it is a kind word and a smile or some friendly and cheerful banter or small talk, showing love goes a long way.
Whether it is helping out by getting someone a shopping cart or stopping by the house of a person to check on them, we can show love in many ways!!!
We can show that we truly have the Spirit of Christ and God’s Love within us as we help those who need us.
I urge you this season, and throughout the New Year (2012) and in the many coming years to show God’s Love to someone!!!
You never know how much someone might need to know that God really does love them!!
Do you know that people can see HIS LOVE in you??
Do you know that you can make the difference between life and death-between eternal damnation and everlasting life for someone???
How you might ask???
You never know what is on a person’s mind, but GOD does!!! If a certain person keeps coming to your mind, call them or go by and see them!!!! Maybe just stopping by and saying a kind word will encourage them and lift their spirits!!!
Sometimes that is ALL it takes to change the course of another person’s life!!!
God puts people on our hearts!!!
So, if you can't call and check on someone or just stop by or say a kind word, then pray for that person!!! Pray for God to send someone by!!!
Have you ever felt lonely or afraid of what will come next?? Have you ever wondered how you are going to make it??? Many people do!!! Many folks feel as if they have nothing to live for!!!
Many people do NOT know how blessed they are to be alive!!! And they don't feel blessed to be alive!!!
Do you know that your smile can light up a life and make a difference? Do you know that just one kind word can change a person’s day and maybe even their world???
That’s what GOD’S LOVE IS ALL ABOUT!!! We need to let others know that God lives within us!!!
And it is NOT by shoving JESUS down their throats in an effort to get ALL of them saved, but by showing them THAT WE CARE AND THAT WE LOVE THEM!!!!!!
BY ALLOWING GOD’S LOVE TO SHINE THROUGH US AND BEING LED BY GOD’S SPIRIT, WE CAN SHOW GOD’S LOVE TO OTHERS!!!
And then they WILL WANT WHAT WE HAVE!!!
So, today, I say, GOOD WILL and PEACE to ALL!!!
Luke 2:14 (KJV) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
While it might seem that I am saying this backwards or misquoting this scripture, know that I am NOT!!!
YOU CAN REST ASSURED that OUR PRECIOUS LORD, JESUS agrees with me that we should show GOOD WILL AND PEACE TO ALL!!!
Matthew 25:34-40 (NKJV)
34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
