My Four and No More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of you will know exactly what I mean when I say that we are NOT supposed to ONLY pray for MY FOUR AND NO MORE!!!!



For those of you who don’t know, that means that when we go before God in prayer, we are suppose to pray for our families, our friends, and other people, especially other Christians!!!  



Ephesians 6:18 (KJV) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints

We are also supposed to pray for our work, our nation, and for our leaders!!! 



1 Timothy 2:1-2 (CJB)

¹ First of all, then, I counsel that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all human beings,

² including kings and all in positions of prominence; so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives, being godly and upright in everything.

 
And we are to pray for the situations that we see in
other’s lives, even if we do NOT know them!!!!   



Romans 8:26-27 (CEV)

²⁶ In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. For example, when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words.

²⁷ All of our thoughts are known to God. He can understand what is in the mind of the Spirit, as the Spirit prays for God’s people.




I am sure that this saying came about because as human beings, we are notoriously selfish!!!!  



Unfortunately, a lot of folks are ONLY LOOKING OUT FOR THEMSELVES, and mostly their families, and so that is who they pray for, if they pray!!!!




But God tells us that we should always watch and pray!!!   For we do NOT know the day nor the house when Christ is coming back!!!



Luke 21:36 (NKJV) Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
