Healing IS A CHOICE!!!

You can choose to be healed or you can choose to be sick!!!

John 5:1-6 (NCV)

1 Later Jesus went to Jerusalem for a special feast.

2
In Jerusalem there is a pool with five covered porches, which is called Bethesda in the Hebrew language. This pool is near the Sheep Gate.

3
Many sick people were lying on the porches beside the pool. Some were blind, some were crippled, and some were paralyzed [, and they waited for the water to move.

4
Sometimes an angel of the Lord came down to the pool and stirred up the water. After the angel did this, the first person to go into the pool was healed from any sickness he had].

5 A man was lying there who had been sick for thirty-eight years.

6
When Jesus saw the man and knew that he had been sick for such a long time, Jesus asked him, "Do you want to be well?"

Jesus asked the man if he wanted to be made well.  You see, that man had a choice!!!

GOD, The Father IS A GENTLEMAN AND HE NEVER FORCES HIMSELF ON ANYONE!!!  Neither does JESUS the SON OF GOD!!!

GOD gave us FREE WILL!!!  We have the right to choose to go to Heaven and we have the right to choose to go to HELL.

That is why GOD’S WORD says that we “should NOT perish, but have everlasting life.”
I know that some Bibles have changed THE WORD to say SHALL NOT, but that takes away our right to choose to be GOD’S CHILD!!!  And God says that it is our choice!!!

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We choose to believe that when Jesus died on the cross HE saved us and that HE washed away our sins with HIS BLOOD!!!  And just as we choose to believe that Jesus is the Christ, we can also choose to believe that when JESUS died HE took away NOT ONLY our sins, but sickness, disease and pain!!!

Matt. 8:16-17 (NCV)

16 That evening people brought to Jesus many who had demons. Jesus spoke and the demons left them, and he healed all the sick.

17 He did these things to bring about what Isaiah the prophet had said:
"He took our suffering on him
and carried our diseases." — Isaiah 53:4

Jesus healed ALL those that came to HIM to the GLORY and HONOR of God!!!

Matthew 12:15 (KJV) But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Matthew 15:29-31 (NKJV)

29 Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there.

30 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

31 So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

Jesus didn’t heal anyone who didn’t want to be healed!!!  He didn’t force anyone to be healed or to be made whole!!!

Luke 8:40-56 (NCV)

40
When Jesus got back to Galilee, a crowd welcomed him, because everyone was waiting for him.

41 A man named Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, came to Jesus and fell at his feet, begging him to come to his house.

42 Jairus' only daughter, about twelve years old, was dying. While Jesus was on his way to Jairus' house, the people were crowding all around him.

43 A woman was in the crowd who had been bleeding for twelve years, but no one was able to heal her.

44 She came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his coat, and instantly her bleeding stopped.

45 Then Jesus said, "Who touched me?"
When all the people said they had not touched him, Peter said, "Master, the people are all around you and are pushing against you."

46 But Jesus said, "Someone did touch me, because I felt power go out from me."

47 When the woman saw she could not hide, she came forward, shaking, and fell down before Jesus. While all the people listened, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.

48 Jesus said to her, "Dear woman, you are made well because you believed. Go in peace."

49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of the synagogue leader and said to him, "Your daughter is dead. Don't bother the teacher anymore."

50 When Jesus heard this, he said to Jairus, "Don't be afraid. Just believe, and your daughter will be well."

51 When Jesus went to the house, he let only Peter, John, James, and the girl's father and mother go inside with him.

52 All the people were crying and feeling sad because the girl was dead, but Jesus said, "Stop crying. She is not dead, only asleep."

53 The people laughed at Jesus because they knew the girl was dead.

54 But Jesus took hold of her hand and called to her, "My child, stand up!"

55 Her spirit came back into her, and she stood up at once. Then Jesus ordered that she be given something to eat.

56 The girl's parents were amazed, but Jesus told them not to tell anyone what had happened.
