LIVING HOLY!!!

Nobody’s perfect!!! 


How does anyone LIVE HOLY? 


LIVING HOLY is a process.  You don’t just walk in and start living HOLY all at once!!!  It takes time!!!  And it takes GOD’s HELP!!!



If we want to learn to LIVE HOLY, there are 3 very important things that we should be doing as GOD’s Kids!!!  We should be keeping our mouths shut (until HE tells us to speak), we should be praying, and we should be in THE WORD!!!  That means that we should be reading and studying THE WORD!!!     


First, of all, we should pray for ourselves, and we should ask GOD to help us live holy!!!  One of the hardest parts of LIVING HOLY is learning to MIND OUR OWN BUSINESS!!!  


1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NKJV)

¹¹ that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,

¹² that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.

That means that we have to ZIP OUR LIPS!!! 


James 1:26 (CEB) If those who claim devotion to God don’t control what they say, they mislead themselves. Their devotion is worthless.


Secondly, we need to stay prayed up!!!  We need to pray for ourselves most of ALL and ask the LORD to help us get right.  We need to get ourselves cleaned up and we have to walk in line with GOD’s WORD!!!  Then we should pray for our loved ones!!!  And finally, after we have taken care of our own business, we can pray for others!!!


1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 (CEV)

¹⁶ Always be joyful  ¹⁷ and never stop praying.


And yes, there are times that we need to stop right where we are and pray for others!!!  Don’t just promise to do it!!!  Do it right then!!!


James 5:16 (KJV) …pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.


Last, but most important of all, we need to know THE WORD!!!  We need to spend time in THE WORD every day!!!  And we need to set aside time to spend with GOD each and every day!!!   


2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.


2 Timothy 2:15 (CEB) …present yourself to God as a tried-and-true worker, who doesn’t need to be ashamed but is one who interprets the message of truth correctly.


I wonder how many of us know what is supposed to be coming out of our mouths, when we open them.    


THE WORD!!!  PRAISES!!!  ENCOURAGEMENT!!! 


2 Timothy 4:2 (NKJV) Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.


Ephesians 5:19 (AMP) Speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, [offering praise by] singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord


Is that ALL we have to do?  Is that ALL that GOD wants us to do?


Well, no, but this is how we start!!!  We have to start out by getting ourselves right!!!  WE ALL NEED GOD’s HELP TO GET OURSELVES RIGHT!!! 


WE HAVE TO LIVE HOLY!!!    


Romans 1:12 (NKJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
