DO WE REALLY SHOW OTHERS GOD’S LOVE???

The best part of knowing Jesus is showing others the love of Christ and hopefully, one day getting to share with them how much HE loves us ALL!!!

It is getting to tell those that do NOT know HIM-that Jesus loves us ALL so much that He died for ALL of our sins!!!  And that means their sins, too!!!

When someone is new to God’s House, we need to take special care in how we treat them!!!  Especially, if they do NOT know GOD or if they are BABY CHRISTIANS!!!

We can make a big difference in these folks’ lives and in what they decide to do with their lives, just by loving them like GOD loves us!!!

I have seen folks get saved and start coming to church seeking GOD.  I have seen folks come into the church seeking something-they don’t know exactly what, but they know that they need help!!!

I have watched as slowly, but surely, ALL of these folks leave the house of GOD, never to return!!!

Why???  Why do they leave and NOT come back???

I CAN TELL YOU EXACTLY WHY!!!  NO ONE SHOWED THEM THE TRUE LOVE OF GOD!!!

No one bothered to become their friend or take them under their wing!!!  No one took out time for that individual.

No one made sure that they got their number, so they could call and check on them.  No one gave them their phone number and told them to call if they needed anything or if they have questions or if they just want to talk!!!

No one bothered to offer them a ride to church!!!  No one asked them to come by and visit or even offered to spend time with them!!!

And if they don’t come back to church, no one bothers to call!!!  No one bothers to check to see how they are doing!!!

NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE IF OR WHEN THEY RETURN!!!

I have been concerned for these folks for many years and have even tried to express that concern to Pastors, as well as other brothers and sisters in the Lord!!!  And except for a very few others most of my concerns fell on deaf ears!!!

It is so very sad!!!

But I know that Jesus is as concerned about these folks, as I am.  And I know that God sees that I care deeply!!!

Here is what God’s Word says about these folks.

Matthew 18:2-14
(AMP)

2And He called a little child to Himself and put him in the midst of them,

3And said, Truly I say to you, unless you repent (change, turn about) and become like little children [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving], you can never enter the kingdom of heaven [at all].

4Whoever will humble himself therefore and become like this little child [trusting, lowly, loving, forgiving] is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me.

6But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea.

7Woe to the world for such temptations to sin and influences to do wrong! It is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the person on whose account or by whom the temptation comes!

8And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble and sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; it is better (more profitable and wholesome) for you to enter life maimed or lame than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into everlasting fire.

9And if your eye causes you to stumble and sin, pluck it out and throw it away from you; it is better (more profitable and wholesome) for you to enter life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the hell (Gehenna) of fire.

10
Beware that you do not despise or feel scornful toward or think little of one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always are in the presence of and look upon the face of My Father Who is in heaven.

11For the Son of man came to save [from the penalty of eternal death] that which was lost.

12What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray and gets lost, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountain and go in search of the one that is lost?

13And if it should be that he finds it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not get lost.

14Just so it is not the will of My Father Who is in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost and perish.

Here is how the New Century Version words verse 10-14.

Matthew 18:10-14 (NCV)

10 Be careful. Don't think these little children are worth nothing. I tell you that they have angels in heaven who are always with my Father in heaven.

[11 The Son of Man came to save lost people.]

12 If a man has a hundred sheep but one of the sheep gets lost, he will leave the other ninety-nine on the hill and go to look for the lost sheep.

13 I tell you the truth, if he finds it he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that were never lost.

14 In the same way, your Father in heaven does not want any of these little children to be lost.

IF WE REALLY WANT TO SHOW OUR LOVE TO THE NEW FOLKS WHO COME IN TO OUR CHURCHES, WE NEED TO SPEND TIME WITH THEM!!!  WE NEED TO STOP AND TAKE OUT TIME FOR THEM!!!

We need to teach them that God has ALL the answers and that those answers can be found in HIS WORD!!!

We need to teach them to read and study their Bible.  We need to encourage them to pray by talking to GOD just as they would talk to their best friend!!!

They need to know that God already knows every thing they have ever done and that they won’t shock HIM by telling Him their secrets!!!

They need to know that HE IS THEIR HELP AND THEIR STRENGTH!!!  Psalm 121, Philippians 4:13
