And These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe

EVERY SAINT AND YES, EVERY PREACHER needs to be Baptized - Filled with the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost and with power!!!  You can NOT do ALL that GOD has called you to do without the help of the HOLY SPIRIT!!!

Mark 16:17-20 (KJV)

17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

I recently wrote a post called Go Ye Into ALL The World because this is what we as Saints of God are supposed to be doing!!!
  We are supposed to be preaching and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone.

That does NOT mean that we are supposed to be trying to shove JESUS down people's throats!!!

But rather that we are supposed to be showing and teaching everyone that God LOVES THEM!!!

We are supposed to be telling them that GOD LOVED THEM SO MUCH that HE, THE FATHER, sent His ONE AND ONLY BEGOTTEN SON TO DIE FOR THEM that they might be forgiven of their sins.

Jesus died on the cross for OUR SINS; THE SINS OF ALL THE WORLD!!!

HE arose from the dead and He left that borrowed tomb.  Then He appeared to the disciples and afterwards He left them to go to Heaven to be with THE FATHER.

Mark 16:1-20 (NKJV)

1 Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.

Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?”

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large.

And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.

But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”

So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.

10 She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept.

11 And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.

12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.

13 And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

After reading this passage in THE WORD OF GOD, could it be any clearer that before we go out to preach and teach others, we are supposed to be filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT, so that we have power from GOD!!!!

As SAINTS of God, we have to have the HOLY GHOST, for the last half of this passage to be true!!!

Mark 16:17-20 (NKJV)

17
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

Amen.

I AM GOING TO MAKE IT REAL PLAIN!!!!!

IF YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE A PREACHER, THEN YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE HOLY GHOST!!!

YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY GHOST!!!!

PREACHER!!!!  YES YOU!!!  YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY GHOST!!!

EVERY SAINT - EVERY SAVED PERSON IS SUPPOSED TO BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY GHOST!!!

John, the forerunner of Jesus, spoke of it in Matthew.

Matthew 3:11 (NKJV) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Then Jesus, HIMSELF, told the disciples to wait for The Promise of the Father.  The disciples were to wait for The Holy Spirit, and that means that they needed HIM!!!  And if they needed HIM then that means that we need HIM, too!!!

Look at it this way!!  The disciples had actually spent 3 years with Jesus, but before HE left them, HE TOLD THEM TO WAIT FOR THE HOLY GHOST!!!

None of us, NOT even the greatest preacher in the world can claim to have been in the actual physical presence of Jesus!!!  So, we truly need the HOLY GHOST, even more than the disciples!!!

Acts 1:1-8 (NKJV)

1
 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,

to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

And lastly, Paul made sure that ALL those who preached Jesus, knew that they needed the HOLY GHOST!!!

Acts 19:1-6 (KJV)

1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
