Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

In the 10th chapter of Romans, Paul tells us how to be saved.

In verse 1, Paul says that he truly wants for the Israelites, God’s chosen people to be saved.  However, in verse 2, he says that they have no knowledge.  By this he means that they have refused to
accept that Jesus as The Messiah; The Christ, who came to save the lost.

And because they have NOT accepted Christ, they can only try to be right in themselves by obeying the law.

However, those that know Christ and choose to believe that HE IS LORD, are redeemed and having been redeemed they are saved from the law which Christ came to fulfill and finally make an end to.  CHRIST did NOT come to stop the law, but to finish and complete it.

Romans 10:1-5 (NKJV)

1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”

Those that choose to believe in God and have faith that Jesus is THE CHRIST understand that Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins.  They understand that the ONLY righteousness that we as men and women have is JESUS’ righteousness!!!

Romans 10:6-7 (NKJV)

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down from above)

or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

When we accept Jesus as Our Savior, we accept that HE is THE WORD of God!!!  We accept that HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD and that HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE SAVED!!!

Romans 10:8
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

How do we become one of God’s children???

Romans 10:9-11 (NKJV)

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

And in verses 12-13, we find out that God is no respecter of persons and that HE accepts ALL those that accept HIS SON AS THE ONE AND ONLY SAVIOR!!!

Romans 10:12-13 (NKJV)

12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

The gospel of JESUS must be preached unto ALL the world!!
If it is NOT preached then ALL do NOT have the opportunity to be saved!!  And everyone must be given the opportunity to be saved!!!  THE GOOD NEWS must be preached unto ALL the WORLD!!!

Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV)

14
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
