Do You know what is in the dark???

Generally, as Christians, we believe when THE WORD refers to darkness, it is referring to NOT knowing God!!!  And yes, that is true in some cases, but if you read 1 John 1:5-7, you will realize that the darkness referred to in this scripture is EVIL!!!

 

 

1 John 1:5-7 (NKJV)

⁵ This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

⁶ If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

⁷ But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.





When people say that there is nothing in the dark, they may NOT know or understand it, but that is a lie from the pits of HELL!!!!!!  That is what the devil wants us to believe!!!  That way he can catch us unaware!!! 






In 1 John 1:5-7, we read that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.  We know that GOD IS GOOD!!!  If there is NO DARKNESS IN GOD, THEN DARKNESS IS EVIL!!! 

So, in this passage of scripture, it is quite clear that the darkness that God is speaking of is evil!!! 





God tells us to be alert and watchful because of the enemy!!!

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

As a saint of GOD, who stands on God’s WORD and walks with HIM, you have no need to fear the dark or evil!!!!  When God is our refuge, HE PROTECTS US!!

However, even as saints, we need to be watchful and know what God says is in the dark!!  We need to be aware of what is lurking in the darkness, especially for our kids!!!





In Psalms 91, it tells us some of the things that are in darkness. 


Psalm 91:4-6 (NKJV)

⁴ He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

⁵ You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

⁶ Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.





Let’s read this a little at a time!!! 


⁴ He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

⁵ You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

Refuge is shelter and safety!!!

If there is NOTHING in the dark, then why do we need Jesus to keep us safe??? 

Here is verse 6 in Psalms 91. 


⁶ Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness…

I admit that I had no idea what pestilence was, so I looked it up and here is what I found.

Dictionary.com shows pestilence as a noun meaning:  1. a deadly or virulent epidemic disease. 2. bubonic plague. 3. something that is considered harmful, destructive, or evil.

I also looked up the word: virulent and it means: Extremely infectious, toxic, or poisonous. 




So, let’s read this scripture using the words that dictionary.com gives us for pestilence. 

Using these words, here is what this verse is saying:  

⁶ Nor of the deadly or extremely infectious, toxic, or poisonous (epidemic) disease that walks in darkness…

⁶ Nor of the harmful, destructive, or evil thing that walks in darkness…

So, even if we look at this in a spiritual sense, we can see that evil, sickness and disease are lurking in the dark!!!  And we know that they come from the devil!!!    

This is why you hear of folks going to sleep feeling fine, and waking up sick the next day!!! 




It is time out for playing games!!!  We need to get real!!!  We cannot just walk around with our head stuck in the sand!!!  We must be aware of the devil and how he works!!! 

We are going to have to teach everyone, especially our kids to stand on THE WORD of GOD!!! 





We have to plead THE BLOOD OVER OUR HOUSEHOLDS -ALL OUR LOVED ONES, ALL OUR ANIMALS, and ALL OUR STUFF!!!  THE BLOOD of CHRIST will protect us from the enemy!!





You know, sometimes adults laugh at children because they are scared of the dark or when they say that there is a monster hiding in their closet or under their bed. 




And I think that is sad!!!  When a child says that they fear the dark or that they see things in the dark, then we need to pray with them!!!




We need to pray with our children and we need to PLEAD THE BLOOD OVER THEM and teach them to plead the blood over themselves before they go to bed at night. 




And yes, they also need to learn to plead the blood over themselves when they wake up each morning and before they go to school each day. 

There is nothing wrong with a child pretending and having fun!!!  





But if you have a child who has bad dreams or is scared of the dark, then you need to teach them to PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS OVER THEMSELVES!!!  AND YOU NEED TO DO IT WITH THEM TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE SAFE!!! 





IF A CHILD IS TERRIFIED TO GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT, THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG!!!  WHEN A CHILD SAYS THEY SEE THINGS, YOU BETTER FIND OUT WHO OR WHAT THEY ARE SEEING!!!!

And if that child has an imaginary friend then you better find out who that friend is!!!   And you better pay close attention to the conversation if a child begins to talk to or about an imaginary friend!!!

The devil wants us to think that children have very vivid imaginations!!!  That the things that they see are NOT real!!!

WE HAVE TO BE ON GUARD!!!

Do I believe in ghosts, spooks or goblins???  No, Not at ALL!!!

BUT I KNOW THAT THE DEVIL IS VERY REAL AND HE IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS!!! 

Recently, a grandmother that I know began to tell of “the friend” that her grandchild was talking to!!!   No one else could see this friend!!!  As I listened, I got a bad feeling!!!  So, I called my prayer partners and we prayed!!!

God reminded me of this last night and he told me to include it in this post!!!   I feel to make sure you know and understand this!!!  

 

When a child sees and begins to talk to someone who is dead; someone they have never met, you better start praying over that child!!!  YOU BETTER START PLEADING THE BLOOD OVER THEM!!!

God does NOT send the dead in Christ back to this earth, ever!!!  NOT a loved one, or a relative or someone you know!!!  Once you or a loved one leaves this earth, you are not coming back until Christ comes!!!!

I am NOT saying that a person cannot have a vision or a dream and in it see someone they knew who has died!!!

THE SPIRITS OF THE DEAD DO NOT REMAIN ON THE EARTH!!!  I don’t care what you have seen on Ghost Whisper or heard about the dead having unfinished business!!!!  ALL those things are lies!!!! 

God says (that for the saved) to be absent from the body is to present with HIM!!!

2 Corinthians 5:8 (KJV) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Once we leave this earth, we go to be with our father!!!  Those of who know JESUS as their Lord and Savior go to be with Father, God.  

And those who have chosen to follow after evil are going to be with their father, the devil!!! 



Ecclesiastes 12:7 (AMP) Then shall the dust [out of which God made man's body] return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it.

Let me ask you this!!!   Why would a child see someone who has died that they have never met or seen???  Even if that person was a very good person in real life, why would a child see someone who is dead???? 

2 Corinthians 11:14 (CEB) And no wonder!  Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

So, again I tell you this!!!  If your child is having a conversation with someone you cannot see, you better start pleading THE BLOOD over them and praying with them!!!




God wants us to understand that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy!!!  John 10:10

YOU CANNOT FIGHT THINGS THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW ABOUT!!!  We must ALL listen when GOD tries to tell us things!!!  We must be taught!!! 




Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

I am NOT saying that we should SCARE OUR KIDS HALF TO DEATH!!!  But we must teach them that Jesus died for us (them as well) and that GOD will protect us from ALL HARM AND DANGER (seen and NOT seen!!!)

 

 

Psalm 91:7-12 (NKJV)

⁷ A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.


⁸ Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.

⁹ Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,

¹⁰ No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

¹¹ For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

¹² In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

 

Revelation 12:11 (CEV) Our people defeated Satan because of the blood of the Lamb and the message of God. They were willing to give up their lives.
